“I’m not afraid of you. I care about you.”

It's a simple statement, but for one man, it was enough to change everything.

For more than 21 years, David Gibson has served patients, families and our community with compassion, whether he's leading the cardiopulmonary department, teaching lifesaving skills, volunteering with local outreach ministries or speaking to students about the dangers of va**ng.

That commitment to meeting people where they are and serving others with empathy is why David has been named Saline Health System's 2026 Mercy Award honoree.

Read more about David's story and the impact he continues to make both inside and outside our hospital.

If you think you’re having a heart attack, your first call should be 911.

EMS teams can begin treatment, perform critical tests and communicate directly with the hospital while you’re on the way. That means care begins before you ever reach the emergency room.

Watch to learn why calling 911 can save valuable time when every second counts.

It was a beautiful day in Hot Springs Village for the 2026 Couples Tournament! ⛳☀️

Saline Orthopedics & Sports Medicine and Saline Cardiology, a department of Saline Health System, were proud to sponsor the 10th hole and support this great community event. Golfers and guests stopped by throughout the day to cool off with Kona shaved ice and visit with our staff.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, and thank you to the tournament organizers for allowing us to be part of another wonderful day on the course. We always appreciate opportunities to connect with and support the communities we serve.

Baby Fair 2026 was one for the books! 📸👶

Families packed the vendor floor to shop, learn and connect, while kids bounced, played and posed in their sparkling face paint. To top it all off, the empathy‑belly challenge offered a lighthearted reminder that even simple tasks can feel a little different during pregnancy.

We’re grateful to our pediatricians, OBs, vendors, sponsors, volunteers and every family who joined us for a day full of learning, laughter and connection. 💙

We’re excited to welcome Katherine Knight, APRN, back to the Saline Health System family! Katherine has been part of our organization for nearly 25 years, beginning her career as a registered nurse on the fourth and fifth floors before serving as a house supervisor. She later earned her master’s degree from the University of Central Arkansas and went on to care for patients as an advanced practice registered nurse at Saline Internal Medicine.

Now, she’s returning to Saline Primary Care, where she continues her commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care for our community.

We’re so glad to have Katherine back on the team — welcome home!
