If you're currently trying to conceive or planning to in the next 3-6 months, here are some nutrients that are really important for you:

☀️ Vitamin D- supports blood sugar and insulin for her AND him, supports a healthy menstrual cycle and egg quality for her, and supports healthy s***m motility for him

→ Sources include mackerel, salmon, cod liver oil, and sunlight.

🥑 Magnesium- helps with stress and sleep for both, supports s***m quality and development, and helps with mitochondrial health of egg and thyroid health

→ Sources include pumpkin seeds, dark chocolate, spinach, almonds

🍊 Vitamin C- supports progesterone production, estrogen balance, and supports healthy s***m

→ Sources include tomatoes, potatoes, bell peppers, kiwi, citrus fruit

🍤 Selenium- needed for thyroid function, follicle health, healthy pregnancy, and s***m development

→ Sources include seafood, organ meats, Brazil nuts, poultry

🦪 Zinc- needed for healthy ovarian function and egg quality, and supports healthy s***m and testosterone.

→ Sources include oysters, beef, lentils, pumpkin seeds

It's always best to get your vitamins and minerals from food as best you can. Supplementing can be done when necessary and appropriate. Always check with a qualified practitioner.

Save for later!

A lot of the women I coach struggle with putting together meals and coming up with ideas. This is a great way to simplify it!

Just remember, it's okay if 100% of your meals don't look this way. Sometimes I don't eat enough protein or fat, or load up on too many carbs 🥔

But if you eat this way even 80% of the time, here's what you might start to notice:

💛 Increased and stable energy throughout the day
💛 Way less cravings and less bingeing
💛 More stable moods
💛 Better sleep
💛 Better periods
💛 More stabilized hormones

And as always, nutrition is very individualized and this is only a guideline! Individual nutrition needs are always evaluated during coaching sessions and may look slightly different for each person ✨

There's a lot of really bad fertility nutrition advice on social media and from that random person who told you that their sister's friend's cousin's niece did (fill in the blank) and got pregnant right away.

Respectfully, I hope their coffee is a little weak today.

As someone who has walked through infertility and helped couples successfully conceive through nutrition and lifestyle changes, here's exactly what I'd add to my grocery order this week if you're currently TTC or planning to start trying soon.

This week is infertility awareness week.

1 in 6 couples experience infertility. 1 in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage.

I fall into both those numbers. And while we prefer to keep this part of our journey private for now, I feel compelled to share that if you are walking through infertility and/or miscarriage, you are not alone ✨

Infertility and miscarriage can feel isolating, overwhelming, hopeless, and defeating. But I believe your story and mine are not done yet 💛
