Big news for your skin! π The FDA just approved bemotrizinol β the first new sunscreen ingredient in the U.S. since the 1990s. Europe and Asia have been using it for decades, and it's finally making its way to American store shelves this summer.
Why does it matter? Most sunscreens we've had access to in the U.S. do a decent job blocking UVB rays (the ones that cause sunburn), but fall short on UVA protection. UVA rays are the sneaky culprits behind premature aging and skin cancer. Bemotrizinol tackles both, and it's more stable in the sun than older chemical filters.
Better protection. Lighter feel. Long overdue. π
