Hi, thanks for checking out my page. My name is Charles Mott, a therapist based in BInghamton NY. I have several years experience in various counseling disciplines, anywhere from kids to head injured clients to addictions. I am currently specializing in counseling for issues related to ADHD, and also for anxiety and depression. I like to use evidence based practices such as Cogntive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior therapy and can provide useful tools beginning with our first session. For my first official post on this page, and I want to start doing more blogging and video tyoes of things, , but being a therapist , you eventually come across and sometimes use meditation. While I wish I was making more of a habit of meditation then I do, I came across this as a suggestion from Andrew Huberman. a neuroscientist, who daily routine to set you up for success in your (check out Huberman daily routine and take fro it what you will, because I for one am not a cold shower first thing in the morning guy (actually not a cold shower guy ever).
Anyway he also has a deep rest routine that he does that is a daily rest pattern, that is based on this practice called yoga nidra It is designed specifically to help you sleep, and I have never found anything like. Ir really does not only put you out, but I wake up in the a.m. feeling rested but like I spent the last couple hours meditating, that also leaves me feeling relaxed, i.e chill , the rest of the next day. Highly recommended I've included links to the Huberman routine and Ally Boothroyd's yoga nidra routine. I like recommending stuff that works, so I would welcome feedback on how helpful , or not, these next two videos have been for you.
