Frank was admitted to our Encompass Health hospital in Danbury, Connecticut after a cardiac event that was complicated by aspiration pneumonia. Prior to his hospitalization, he was fully independent, active and worked as a nurse at our Danbury hospital.

With strong support from his wife and determination in therapy, Frank made steady progress. By discharge, he was walking without assistive devices and even practicing boxing movements with his therapist. 🥊

We are proud to celebrate his successful recovery and return home!

Doris was admitted to our Encompass Health hospital in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania after developing pneumonia that required hospitalization. She also has a history of Guillain-Barré syndrome, which had prevented her from walking for 20 years.

Doris was thrilled when the therapy team had her walking by day three of her rehabilitation stay. While the distances were short, she was excited to regain the ability to walk into her bathroom and move around her home for the first time in two decades.

We are honored to have been part of your recovery journey and to celebrate this incredible milestone with you. Congratulations, Doris!
