The Consortium of State School Boards Associations (COSSBA) is inviting schools to showcase their outstanding student talent at the 2027 National Conference in Dallas, Texas!

This is a unique opportunity for students in your school district to represent North Dakota and share their creativity and excellence with education leaders from across the country. Selected groups will perform during both the Unified Boards Alliance (UBA) Preconference Day (March 11, 2027) and the National Conference (March 12-14, 2027).

This is the last call to nominate school board members in your district for the NDSBA Legacy of Service Award. This award is for North Dakota's longest serving board members (15 or 20 cumulative years). The submission deadline is NEXT WEEK -- Friday, July 31, 2026.

The recipients will be recognized during the opening session of the 2026 NDSBA Annual Convention on Thursday, October 8, at 3:00 p.m. (approximate time).

Will you serve as a delegate from your district?

Contact your district business manager! Convention registration opens August 3, and the names of convention delegates and alternates must be submitted to the NDSBA office by September 22.

As a delegate, you’re helping shape the future of the North Dakota School Boards Association by bringing the concerns of your constituents, debating and voting on policies, programs, and resolutions; and electing the NDSBA Board of Directors.

The 9th Annual School Board Member Bootcamp is coming up NEXT WEEK! Have you registered?

This free one-day virtual training is set for 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, via Zoom.

The event is hosted by NDSBA in partnership with NDDPI. The webinar is for newly elected board members as well as current board members and will highlight school board basics, roles and responsibilities, school law, and resources available to board members.

School business managers must register board members for this event. Log into the membership portal at ndsba.org to register.

The North Dakota School Business Managers Certification Program (NDSBMCP) will host a two-day training for first-year students on September 10 and 11 at the Bismarck Public Schools Career Academy on the campus of Bismarck State College, 1221 College Drive, in Bismarck.
