Camp Armageddon has been around since the year 2000, serving the 3:00 sector with daily bike repair services. Our members hail from Chico, Seattle, Salt Lake City and elsewhere. Camp Armageddon is a place where all members contribute to making the camp a clean, happy and healthy environment that fosters ALL of us in full self-expression and fulfillment within ourselves and within the greater burning man community. Our Charter for Burning Man 2017 is to make this week a fertile field of self-exploration. Throughout the week, as we live with and relate to each other, each camp member is expected to invest themselves with a sense of ownership in our camp, and to participate fully and act responsibly, in keeping with the principles of the burning man experience. Our goal is to create a spirit of community and a nurturing and supportive space for each and all, so all members are expected to participate in camp chores, and be respectful of others’ needs for rest and space. We ask that you follow the Burning Man principles at all times and leave our space cleaner than you found it (both daily and at the end of the week).
2017 Events:
Bike Love on the Playa: Tues-Sat 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Come to Camp Armageddon’s Bike Love Station for air, oil and radical repair rituals performed by amateur and professional mechanics. If it can be fixed on the playa, we can probably fix it! No job to small or too big. Smiling face required! Early Morning Yoga: M, W, F 7 a.m. - 8 a.m. Start (or end!) your day with the sun. Iyengar-style yoga in our dome. No radical rituals, music, chants or incense, just the simplicity of asana (poses)! All levels welcome. Second-Ever Last Annual Armageddon Alley Cat: Weds 2 p.m. Join our pedal-powered radical ritual! Bring your best wheels, playa art map, water, moop pick-up bag. Ride hard, have fun, win prizes. After-Party! Have you got a two-wheeled human powered contraption you think is fit to outrun the devil on a souped-up segway during armageddon? Are you ready for the event of a lifetime? Join Camp Armageddon for the SeCOND ever Last Annual Armageddon Alley Cat Bicycle Race. The race will end at our camp after-party; how long it will last is determined by how fast you ride. Some things that might come in handy along the way are the playa art map, a water bottle, and the capacity to hold any moop you might find along the way. Remember to ride fast, have fun, and be safe; ideally in that order because there will be a prize for the winner! Armageddon AlleyCat After-Party: Weds 4 p.m. Is it the end of life as we know it? Or just the radical ritual after-party for our Second-ever Last Annual Armageddon AlleyCat Race (starts at 2pm)? Come and find out! We’ll have vodka drinks, Alley Cat Race awards/prizes, games, snacks and music to celebrate. Participation in the Alley Cat is not required… but if you don’t, you’ll wish you had! BYO cup!
