An Under-talked About Family-Friendly Location
Resting on the banks of the Pecatonica River is Blanchardville Wisconsin. Whether you want to take a day trip, or spend the whole weekend, there's something for everyone!
We guarantee you the kids will love McKellar Park. The McKellar Park Swim Pond, is a newer attraction for the Lafayette County area. Additionally, the Driftless Valley Disc Golf Course offers another great recreational activity that's also fairly new to town.
When it comes to cuisine, not a fast food restaurant can be found in town. Instead, you'll find a mixture of sit down restaurants and bars with good food. River Bend Cafe offers a great home cooked meal for both breakfast and lunch. Bistro On Main is your one stop shop for all things caffeine and sandwiches, pizza, and sweet treats. Should you crave a cold drink, Rachel & Ray's Pub & Grill will treat you just right up with the coldest drinks in town and good bar food. If you finished swimming or you're looking to get out of the heat, The Viking Scoop is the place to be. Lastly, Cork Down Saloon is out by Yellowstone Lake State Park and also offers good food and some of the best live music in the county.
Your shopping fix can be satisfied at Rooted Collective 201 LLC. The store is filled with works from talented makers, bakers, and crafters from the area. Additionally, you can find Paulson Grass Fed Beef inside the store. Grab some steaks before you head out of town.
There are a few services you could book if you plan ahead. Naturally Empowered Living and Angie Rae Wellness will both welcome you with open arms. Check out each of those businesses to see exactly what they offer. Blanchard Hall is quite possibly the most versatile venue you can rent in southwestern Wisconsin. If you're looking for the cheapest gas in town, the C-Stores of Blanchardville Coop can get you filled up before you leave.
Lastly, you don't have to just come for the day, extend your trip with some great lodging options. Drift Inn Cabins are located right off the river. Yellowstone Lake Cabin Rentals are out by the state park and offer views for days. If you'd like to stay in the heart of it all, Hotel Blanchard, located above Rachel & Ray's Pub & Grill. McKellar Park also offers camping at a super cheap rate if that's more your style.
We hope to hear of your adventure to town in the near future.
Oh, one final thing! There's a challenge in town to see if you can discover how many Blanchards live there. Good luck.
Enjoy, friends.
