Employee Spotlight 💡🔦✨

Meet Aly, our Lead Phlebotomist, Andrologist, and Social Media Coordinator for nearly 3 years! 💙

Aly stood out last month when she was named July’s Staff Member of the Month! One colleague shared, “Aly has an incredible ability to bring positivity and humor to the workplace. She keeps spirits high, encourages those around her, and helps make even the busiest days more enjoyable.”

One thing you may not know about Aly? She has her own personal connection to the world of fertility. Aly was an egg donor for two couples who needed help building their families, and she has also frozen her own eggs to give herself more fertility options in the future, whenever or if ever she feels ready to become a mom. 🥚✨

These experiences have given Aly an even deeper understanding of the significance behind the work we do and the hopes and dreams that come with every patient, specimen, and lab result. 🫶

When she is not at ICRM, you can find Aly spending time with friends and family, hanging out with her two cats, reading, trying new foods, getting outdoors, or saying YES to a spontaneous adventure! 🐾📚🌲✈️

Sometimes the hardest seasons grow the most beautiful things. 🎃💛

In 2015, Brandon Hurst married Kelsey Jenkins, a farm girl from Idaho Falls. After trying unsuccessfully to start a family, they were referred to the Idaho Center for Reproductive Medicine, where Dr. Maas recommended IVF.

Paying for treatment was a challenge, and saving for IVF came with plenty of setbacks. Every time they managed to put money aside, something seemed to come up—a well pump breaking or an unexpected expense that quickly drained their savings. So, they got creative. Kelsey baked and sold cookies, while Brandon rented an acre of his dad’s farm and began growing pumpkins.

Around the same time, Brandon connected with Eagle Eye Produce in Idaho Falls and began growing pumpkins under contract for big-box stores like Walmart. In 2019, that first harvest brought in almost exactly enough to pay for their first IVF cycle.

Their first cycle didn’t work, but they had an incredible response and many embryos to work with. Just weeks before their second transfer in early 2020, Kelsey became critically ill. She passed away from sepsis and acute pneumonia less than 24 hours after first feeling sick.

Brandon and Kelsey never got to have children together, but today Brandon has remarried and is the proud dad of three wonderful boys. Growing pumpkins has taken on a whole new meaning.

Brandon still grows pumpkins today for nurseries, local businesses, and his annual you-pick patch. Through Pumpkins for Pumpkins, half of every pumpkin sale goes toward helping families pursuing IVF.

A few years ago, Brandon’s farm donated $14,000 to a couple who had already experienced two failed IVF cycles. Their third attempt worked, and today they have a beautiful little boy.

This year, we are incredibly grateful to partner with Brandon’s farm once again as they generously sponsor a $14,000 IVF grant for another family.

What began as pumpkins helping Brandon and Kelsey pursue their dream of a family has grown into a legacy of helping other families achieve theirs. 🎃💛

🐘🐧 A day at the zoo with our ICRM family! ❤️

Our baby reunion zoo day is one of our favorite ways to give back, celebrate our incredible patients and their families, and celebrate all the little ones we’ve had the privilege of helping bring into the world.

With 100+ families joining us, it was a day full of smiles, laughter, and so much love. We’re incredibly grateful to be part of your stories! 🦒🦁💕

Meet Charlotta, our amazing Insurance Specialist & Billing Administrator at ICRM! 💙

With almost 2 years at ICRM, Char loves working with insurance companies to make sure our services are reimbursed accurately and that every billable service is captured correctly.

When she’s not keeping billing running smoothly, you can find her tackling a good DIY home décor project, cheering on her favorite teams, paddleboarding, gardening, playing games with friends and family, or enjoying a concert! 🏈⚾️🌱🎶

We’re so grateful to have Char on our team and appreciate all she does behind the scenes to support our patients and our clinic!

We are so grateful for everything you do each and every day as both a physician and our clinic director!

Fun fact: Dr. Maas is a big synthesizer enthusiast! 🎹 And if you were lucky enough to be at the staff karaoke night last weekend, you also know he is pretty great at opening his home to the ICRM crew. 😉🎤

We had a fry-tastic day! 🍟✨

Our amazing transfer patients brought smiles (and fries!) to everyone by having family, friends, and even our staff snap photos holding French fries to celebrate their big day. As if that wasn’t enough, they surprised our entire clinic with fries for dinner! 🥹💛

We feel incredibly honored to be part of your story and are so grateful for your kindness. Here’s to hoping these fries brought a little extra luck today… now we wait, hope, and cheer you on every step of the way. 🤍🥔✨

Congratulations to our Employee of the Month, Paula! 💙

As the sole Patient Services team member at our Meridian clinic, Paula is often the first friendly face our patients see. She goes above and beyond to make everyone feel heard, seen, and supported from the moment they walk through our doors.

One of our favorite touches? Paula created a Kids Corner at her desk, complete with coloring books, crayons, stickers, and candy to help keep little visitors entertained during appointments. It’s just one of the many ways she makes our clinic feel welcoming for the whole family.

When she’s not at ICRM, you’ll find her recharging with meditation, video games, or exploring her love of crystals, essential oils, and Scandinavian music. After nearly two years with ICRM, she’s especially proud of how she’s adapted to a brand-new medical field while bringing her personality and integrity to work every day.
