I never understood why specializing became a bad thing from other stylists?
I chose blonding because I love it. Iβve spent years behind the chair learning the chemistry, placement, formulation, timing, dimension, corrective work, and all the tiny details that separate βdoing highlightsβ from truly understanding blonde hair. At this point Iβm well above 20,000 hours of doing it. Being a blonde specialist doesnβt mean I canβt do other things. Or that Iβm PERFECT at it. It means I made the intentional decision to pour my time, education, and experience into becoming really damn good at one thing.
You wouldnβt question a professional for choosing a specialty in almost any other industry.
So yes, Iβm βanother blonde specialist.β π
And Iβm pretty proud of that.
Find what you love. Master your craft. Let people roll their eyes. π«ΆπΌ
