Your need to control might show you one of your biggest areas of spiritual vulnerability. What are you trying to control that God wants you to surrender?

Sometimes teshuvah means coming before God and saying, โ€œLord, I have sinned.โ€ But sometimes, repentance also means opening our clenched hands and saying, โ€œLord, I release them.โ€

There are wounds we keep revisiting, names we cannot hear without remembering the pain, conversations we replay and sometimes we call it justice when, deep down, it is resentment.

Forgiveness does not mean what they did was right, it does not erase the wound, it does not mean you must return to an unsafe relationship. Forgiveness means you refuse to let someone else's sin become the prison where your heart lives.

Jesus did not forgive us because our sins were small... He forgave us because His mercy was greater.

At the cross, we see the impossible beauty of grace: the One who had every right to condemn chose to forgive. So during these 40 Days of Teshuvah, ask the Holy Spirit: โ€œWho am I still holding in my heart?โ€

Perhaps today, your repentance is not only turning away from sin, perhaps it is turning away from bitterness. To lay the offense at His feet, release the debt and give God the right to deal with what happened. And oh... let your heart breathe again.

You don't have to carry what Jesus is asking you to surrender.

โ€œFather, I forgive them. I release them to You. Heal what they wounded, cleanse what bitterness has poisoned, and teach me to love with the mercy You have shown me. Let nothing anyone did to me become greater than what You did for me at the cross. Amen.โ€

Return, repent and release.
..The King is in the field.
And He is calling your heart back to freedom. ๐Ÿค

Blessed SONday! โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿ”ฅ

There is something beautiful about coming into God's house with a hungry heart.

Not hungry for a better performance or for another religious routine. Not merely for a good sermon or a beautiful song.

But hungry for God...

Because we can be surrounded by worship and still have a distracted heart. We can hear the Word and remain unchanged. We can lift our hands while our hearts are somewhere else.

But today, come differently.

Come hungry, expecting.
Come with a heart that says, "Lord, I don't just want to hear about You. I want to encounter You.โ€

Leave your distractions at the door, your disappointments at His feet, the heaviness you've carried all week in His presence.

You don't have to pretend that everything is okay...Come as you are.

If you're weary, or broken... come.

If you're confused or failed this week, come...

If your fire has grown dim, come. If you've been longing for God but don't know how to return, come...

Jesus is still calling and His presence is still available.

His Word is still alive, His mercy is still new and His grace is still sufficient.

Maybe this Sunday is not about God giving you everything you asked for. Maybe it's about God reminding you that He is everything your soul needs.

Don't merely attend church today.

Encounter the Lord. Don't just sing the song, truly worship Him...

Don't just hear the sermon, Receive His Word.

Don't just leave encouraged...Leave transformed.

May we never become so familiar with church that we become unfamiliar with the presence of God.

May we never become so accustomed to worship that we forget Who we are worshiping.

May our hearts burn again, may our hunger return, may our ears become attentive, our knees become willing.
..May our hearts cry again: "Lord, I want more of You.โ€

Healing doesnโ€™t always look like a breakthrough everybody can see.

Sometimes it looks like not reacting.
Not chasing closure.
Not explaining yourself one more time.
Not reopening a door God finally helped you close.

Sometimes healing is quieter than that.

Itโ€™s choosing peace.
Protecting what God is rebuilding in you.
Trusting that you donโ€™t have to force the process.

Iโ€™m learning that God can restore things in me I thought pain had permanently damaged.

And maybe thatโ€™s the miracle:

Iโ€™m still here.
Still soft.
Still faithful.
Still becoming. ๐Ÿ’œ
