Lebanon is not in the viewing path of today’s total solar eclipse, but the event is still a good reminder that solar-viewing safety deserves very clear guidance.

🌍 Today is World Sight Day —

Every year, the world unites to remind us of something we often take for granted: the gift of sight.
This year’s theme, “Eye Care for All”, calls on each of us — clinicians, parents, educators, and citizens — to ensure that vision care is accessible, affordable, and prioritized for everyone, everywhere.

At Optic Nacouzi and the Myopia Management HUB, our daily mission aligns perfectly with this goal.
We believe that preserving sight begins with early detection, prevention, and education — especially when it comes to childhood myopia.

👁️ Let today be your reminder to:
• Book a comprehensive eye exam — for yourself and your family
• Spend more time outdoors
• Reduce screen time and support healthy visual habits

Because vision is not just what we see —
it’s how we live, learn, and connect.

A vision screening, typically conducted at a pediatrician's office or school, is not the same as an eye exam—it's quite different. Many parents mistakenly believe that these screenings are equivalent to a full eye examination.
