After months of waiting, you’re finally at the hospital meeting your newborn. Along with all the excitement, there are also practical questions, starting with a simple one:

What can Intended Parents expect when it comes to food during their hospital stay? 🏥

🍽️ Hospital meals

Meals are included during your stay, but they’re a little different from what many people expect. Instead of room service, you’ll receive dishes and cutlery and head to the dining area near your room to choose your meal.

The menu is designed with postpartum care in mind, so meals are simple, nutritious, and lightly seasoned. Even traditional Ukrainian dishes, such as borscht, are prepared in a milder style.

🍕 Want pizza instead?

No problems.

Glovo delivery and Bolt Food both work in English, so ordering pizza, burgers, sushi, coffee, or your favorite comfort food is easy. Deliveries arrive throughout the day, and you’ll usually pick them up at the hospital’s main entrance or reception.

Please note that alcohol is not permitted in the hospital. 🚫

👶 An important reminder

During your hospital stay, one Intended Parent should always remain with the baby to ensure your newborn is continuously accompanied.

“99% success rate!” ✨

It sounds almost too good to be true… and sometimes, it is.

Recently, we came across a clinic proudly advertising a 99% IVF success rate. At first glance, it looked extraordinary. But once we looked closer, the picture changed.

That number wasn’t measuring pregnancies or babies born. It reflected an earlier laboratory milestone before embryos had even reached the stage where they could realistically be transferred.

This is exactly why IVF and surrogacy success rates deserve a second look. 👀

Not every clinic measures success the same way. Some calculate fertilization rates. Others stop at Day 3 embryo development. Some report the number of embryos frozen. The most meaningful statistics, however, are those that follow the journey all the way to pregnancy and live birth.

And there’s another important truth…

Success rates describe groups of patients, not you. Every journey is unique. Your chances depend on many factors, including: 👇

🥚 Egg and s***m quality
🧬 Embryo development
🔬 Whether embryos have undergone PGT genetic testing
❄️ The quality of frozen embryos used in an FET cycle
👩‍⚕️ Whether you’re using your own eggs or Donor eggs

That’s why comparing one clinic’s percentage with another’s rarely tells the full story.

Instead of asking, “What’s your success rate?”, ask:

You might think the answer is to find a Surrogate quickly or to work with world-class fertility specialists. Or having strong legal protection and carefully screened Donors and Surrogates. 🤔

💡 Those things absolutely matter.

A surrogacy journey isn't just paperwork and medical appointments. It's months of waiting, hoping, celebrating milestones, and sometimes facing unexpected challenges. The agency you choose should make you feel involved every step of the way, never left wondering.

So what should you ask?

📅 How often will I receive updates?
