Mental health care is often concentrated at two extremes: inpatient hospitalization and weekly outpatient therapy. But what about those who need more than weekly therapy and when a hospital stay doesn't feel like the right answer? That 'in-between' level of care is an underused option, and the people who need it most often go without.

Guidelight treatment fills that gap with structured, evidence-based care for people who need more than weekly therapy and the skills needed for long term wellbeing. Guidelight Virtual makes this care more accessible through secure, live online sessions.

Using the same clinical models as our in-person programs, Guidelight Virtual is:
• Hosted on a secure, HIPAA-compliant, easy to use online platform
• Structured, evidence-based Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
• Real therapeutic connection with care that fits into real life without becoming “convenient therapy”

Guidelight Virtual is the same standard of care as our in-person programs, just in a virtual format that makes it easier to start treatment faster and get better before symptoms become a crisis.

Getting better doesn't mean putting life on hold.

When news breaks that touches on mental health, we believe it's important to show up with clarity, compassion, and honesty.

Guidelight Co-Founder and CMO Andy Cruz joined 9NEWS Denver to speak about the passing of Hayden Panettiere and the mental health struggles she navigated publicly throughout her life. We're grateful Andy can help bring a grounded, thoughtful perspective to a difficult conversation.

Moments like these are a reminder of why breaking the stigma around mental health is not just important — it's urgent. No one should face these battles alone or in silence.

For some students, going back to school means new classes, new routines, and a little extra stress. For others, it can bring struggles that go beyond “a little extra stress.”

Maybe emotions feel bigger than usual and mornings before school are becoming a battle. Or your child seems more withdrawn, irritable or overwhelmed during the school week, then symptoms seem to ease on weekends.

These can be signs that school is feeling overwhelming, and they’re worth paying attention to. Anxiety around school and school avoidance is often connected to something underneath the behavior, from academic pressure to peer conflict or other mental health challenges.

You don’t need to have all the answers to start helping. Knowing what to look for and approaching your child with empathetic curiosity is a good place to start.

August is National Wellness Month, a time to reflect on how we're caring for ourselves and where we might make a little more room for our well-being.

Wellness looks different for everyone and there’s no single “right” way to care for yourself. Sometimes it's small, intentional changes like making more room for rest or routines that help you feel grounded. Other times, it means connection, leaning on the people who matter, or reaching out for support.

Mental health is part of that picture too. And when caring for your mental health means seeking more support, Guidelight is here to help you find a way forward.

Replaying a conversation hours after it ended. Dreading an event weeks before it happens. Leaving a room and feeling relieved - but also disappointed in yourself.

These experiences are more common than most people realize, and they exist on a spectrum from everyday shyness to clinical social anxiety disorder.

Our latest Q&A with a Guidelight clinician breaks down the difference, what therapy for social anxiety actually looks like, and how to know when it might be time to seek support.

Back to school season is here, and for families it can bring more than the supplies shopping and return to school schedules.

Guidelight Co-Founder and CMO, Andy Cruz joined Boston 25 News to help parents understand the difference between normal back-to-school stress and something worth paying closer attention to. His key reminder for parents and guardians: pay attention to the changes.
The subtle signs, like a shifting sleep schedule, loss of appetite, sickness that only happen on school days, can be easier to miss than a big emotional moment, but they matter just as much. And when it comes to knowing when to get support, watch for three things: duration, intensity, and function.

Everyone has hard days, but if the distress is lasting, out of proportion, or starting to affect your child's daily life, earlier support makes a real difference.

Last month, Guidelight had the privilege of joining The Ardent Grove Foundation for a morning of art therapy training, community, and connection. 🎨

Clinicians from schools, community mental health centers, private practices, LGBTQIA+ affirming organizations, and IOP/PHP programs all came together in one room with one shared purpose: growing as clinicians and improving access to quality behavioral health care.

The training gave our team hands-on exposure to art therapy interventions that can be brought directly into clinical work with the individuals and families we serve. Meaningful learning looks like this.

Thank you to The Ardent Grove Foundation for creating such a thoughtful and welcoming space. This is exactly the kind of community we want to be part of and help build.

While taking a break from routine can be refreshing, summer can also make it harder to ignore signs that your child or teen is struggling. What felt manageable during the school year can look very different when the routine is gone.

This summer, take the time to listen, connect and support the children and teens in your life to make them feel more heard and understood, reminding them they are not alone.

Our latest blog shows how summer can have the potential to be a great time to start focusing on your children's emotional well-being and shares recommendations for getting your child the right level of care.
