If you have arthritis in your hands or writs, you know how it can put a damper on life. The persistent pain and stiffness can make even simple activities – such as opening doors or tying your shoes – difficult or even impossible. Luckily there are many treatment options to make everyday tasks a little easier.
Board-certified orthopedic surgeon Dominik Rog, MD, who specializes in treating conditions of the hands, wrists and upper extremities, will describe the lates non-surgical and surgical treatment options for hand or wrist arthritis sufferers. He will be joined by occupational therapist, Jared Alme, OTR/L, who will review joint protection principals, as well as exercises that can help improve range of motion and function in the hand and wrist.
