“There is power inherent in committing yourself to the process of creating health in all levels of your life.” — Christiane Northrup, M.D.
Living with Functional Neurological Disorder can feel unpredictable, confusing, and overwhelming—especially when your body or mind doesn’t respond in the ways you expect.
At Boulder Center for NeuroHealth, we approach these experiences through a somatic (body-based) lens, recognizing that your symptoms are deeply connected to the state of your nervous system.
Dr. Moenter uses a polyvagal-informed approach, with Sensorimotor Psychotherapy as a guiding framework. This means gently working with the body and nervous system to support shifts in the patterns that underlie functional symptoms.
Rather than focusing on “controlling” symptoms, this work invites curiosity, safety, and connection. Together, we begin to address the underlying processes in the brain and body that contribute to those experiences—supporting more stability, flexibility, and ease over time.
We understand that the loss of control and unpredictability of symptoms can carry a real emotional weight. You don’t have to navigate that alone.
Healing is not about forcing change—it’s about creating the conditions where your system can begin to feel safe enough to shift. Contact us today if you have questions or are interested in learning more.
