Some moments deserve to be remembered.

Congratulations to Cheryl Gabriel, Darren Barnhill, Michelle Cole, Gabby Goins, and Susanne Hill, recipients of a Team Daisy Award for the compassion and teamwork they showed in making one family's wish come true.

When ICU patient Leanne transitioned to comfort care, her daughter, Makenna, shared one heartfelt request: she wanted her mom to see her get married.

The team immediately sprang into action. In just a few hours, a room was transformed into a beautiful wedding venue. A local decorator, photographer, and countless team members came together to make the day unforgettable, complete with a cake, cookies, and punch for the family to celebrate.

With Leanne in the front row, Makenna and her fiancé, Brett, exchanged vows surrounded by their loved ones.

This is what compassionate care looks like. It's about more than medicine. It's about saying "yes" when it matters most.

Congratulations to this incredible team on a well-deserved award.

Irene came to Branson with one goal: to spend time with her siblings. They had traveled from Arizona, Pennsylvania, and beyond to reunite, share stories, and enjoy precious time together.

Then the unexpected happened.

While visiting, Irene found herself at Cox Medical Center Branson instead of with her family. The reunion she had traveled so far to attend was suddenly uncertain.

During multidisciplinary rounds, her care team recognized what this visit meant to her and came up with a simple but meaningful solution. If she couldn't go to the reunion, they would bring the reunion to her. Staff transformed one of the hospital's conference rooms into a gathering space for Irene and her family. Her caregivers safely transported her to the room and remained by her side while she spent several joyful hours laughing, reminiscing, and making memories with the people she'd traveled so far to see.

For a little while, the conference room wasn't used for meetings or paperwork. It became a place where a family could be together when it mattered most.

At CoxHealth, healing isn't just about treating an illness. Sometimes, it's about recognizing what matters most to a patient and doing everything possible to make those moments happen.

Branson is honored to host this year's Missouri EMS Conference & Expo! 🚑

As one of two Platinum Sponsors, CoxHealth is proud to support the EMS professionals who show up for our communities in their most critical moments.

Cox Medical Center Branson President William Mahoney welcomed attendees this morning and thanked them for their dedication and the important role they play in caring for patients across Missouri.

CoxHealth EMS and Air Care have served southwest Missouri since 1971. Today, our regional system spans five counties, with more than 400 EMS and flight professionals answering more than 70,000 calls each year, 24/7.

Our team provides much more than ambulance response, including 911 response, critical care and interfacility transport, air medical evacuation, community paramedicine, behavioral health transport, and more. Our Emergency Communications Center is also one of only four ACE-accredited EMS dispatch centers in Missouri.

And since 2018, CoxHealth has been one of just four civilian training sites in the country for the U.S. Army's Special Operations Combat Medic program. More than 500 combat medics have trained here, with a 100 percent pass rate on their national registry exam.

We’re grateful to have so many EMS professionals here and hope you enjoy a great week filled with learning, networking, and the warm Ozarks hospitality that makes Branson such a special place to gather.
