Here at Livin’ the Breast Life, we are always trying to help the local community. One recent issue that Mitchell, the owner and IBCLC, noticed is that many large-box stores only carry traditional sizing for maternity, pumping, and toddler items. Unfortunately meaning that our rural Maine families would need to order their items online and rely on shipping times, costing them extra days that many couldn’t afford. This led to the opening of the new brick-and-mortar storefront in the Kinetic Wellness Center in Brewer.

The main goal is to have items in store that wouldn’t normally be in our rural area; however, we encourage anyone looking to shop local to stop in and order with us. If we don’t carry the item you are looking for, we will order it for you at no additional charge, and price match any Greater Bangor Area retailers for the exact same item.*

Those big life transitions, we want to be here for them - for you.

Recommended Milestone Appointments:

Weeks 1-6
-Education appointments upon request
-Establish the latch and supply
-Triage Feeding Challenges as needed
-Pumping and bottle feeding as requested

2-3 months
-Back to work and breastfeeding
-Return to work follow-up as needed

4 months
-Now that your baby is 4 months old (sleep, distracted feeds, teething)

5 months
-Preparing for breastfeeding and introduction to solids at 6 months old

6-9 Months
-More Teething
-Baby Proofing
-Introduction to allergens

9-12 months
-Introducing new foods and meals while breastfeeding

12-24 months
-Breastfeeding a toddler

Weaning
-ANY age parent and/or baby would like to discuss this

Please join us on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 10:15 AM for the official ribbon-cutting.

Following the ceremony, we will be hosting an open house to view the area, shop, and leave a donation for Wellspring Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Mental Health Services.
