They’ll remember these moments forever 💙🐚 Bringing my children into ceremony, teaching them about La Sirene, showing them how to honor the lwa this is how we keep our culture alive. This is how they learn who they are.

For those who know me well… you know that since birth, I’ve been trained to be a preacher, to be a leader. I was programmed and built to serve and to have a ministry. Well eventually I left the church but not the Supreme Creator behind. I started to explore other practices and beliefs not to replace, but to better understand my own relationship with Spirit and nature. In my 20s, Capoeira Angola found me, and the introduction to Brazilian Candomblé, Santería, and Ifá followed. Tapping into these indigenous religions helped ground me and pull me closer to what’s been calling me since I was younger. But one cannot reject oneself, or one cannot fully grow. So in 2019, Spirit led me to my teacher Wayom Tribe and the re-membering started putting back together what was lost. Sankofa, so that I can move forward. My birthright found me. In 2021, I took my first full step and got initiated into my people’s cultural practice, Haitian Vodou, as a baby looking to learn. This part, I believe most of you know. Well, in July 2025, I completed my last set of initiations now a leader, ready to guide, with my two mothers, my spiritual family, my Lwa, and the Supreme Creator.

July 2025 marked the completion of my final initiation into priesthood—a journey that began as a whisper in my youth and became a roar I could no longer ignore. From the church pews of my childhood to the sacred spaces where my ancestors dwell, every step has been guided by hands seen and unseen.
To my two mothers who held me through this transformation, to my spiritual family who witnessed my becoming, to my Lwa who never let me stray too far from home—ashe, ashe, ashe. You saw the leader in me when I was still learning to see myself.
This isn’t an ending. It’s a beginning. A deeper dive into service, into Spirit, into the practice that claimed me long before I knew its name. The work continues. The learning never stops. And I walk forward now not just as student, but as guide—ready to hold space, ready to serve, ready to honor the lineage that runs through my blood and the Supreme Creator that breathes through us all.
Sankofa. We go back to move forward.
The house is open. The work is sacred. And I am grateful.
