At Broken Bow Health and Rehab, we are celebrating TWO successful therapy graduations this week with our amazing NOVO Rehabilitation
team!

Both Mr. Dickerson and Miss Freeman arrived needing the assistance of a wheelchair, but through hard work, determination, and the expert care of our therapy team, they each discharged using a walker—a huge step toward greater independence!

Their commitment to therapy, combined with daily encouragement and personalized treatment, helped them regain the strength and confidence needed to return to the activities of daily living they enjoy.

Every milestone matters, and moments like these remind us why we do what we do. ❤️

"When Miss Crow first arrived at Broken Bow Health and Rehab, she required total assistance with her daily activities. Through months of hard work, determination, and collaboration with our therapy team, she made incredible progress toward greater independence.

Together, we focused on improving strength, transfers, and independence with self-care tasks.

Today, we are proud to celebrate her return home, where she will continue her journey with the support of her family and home health services.

Congratulations Beverly!! Great job team!!

✨ Meet Beverly! ✨

After undergoing an ORIF procedure, Beverly Turner came to our community with significant challenges in her mobility and independence. When she first arrived, she required extensive assistance with everyday activities and transfers, making even simple daily tasks difficult.

From day one, Beverly was determined to get stronger and return to the life she loves. With the support of our skilled therapy team and her incredible work ethic, she committed herself to the rehabilitation process—building strength, improving her balance and endurance, and regaining the confidence to move independently.

What kept Beverly motivated every step of the way was the thought of returning home to her family and friends. She also looked forward to getting back to church, where she could once again worship and spend time with her church family.

Through hard work, perseverance, and a positive attitude, Beverly made remarkable progress. She advanced from needing complete assistance with daily activities and transfers to performing them independently, allowing her to safely return home and resume the moments that matter most.

✨ Meet Betty Dodson! ✨

At The Oaks Healthcare Center, we love celebrating the incredible progress our residents make—and today we’re celebrating Betty!

Betty came to The Oaks after experiencing a decline in her ability to safely perform daily activities and transfers, making it more difficult to maintain the independence she valued. From the very beginning, she was determined to regain her strength and confidence.

With the support of our skilled therapy team, Betty worked hard to improve her strength, balance, mobility, and overall function. Through her dedication, perseverance, and positive attitude, she made steady progress toward achieving her goals and becoming more independent each day.

One of Betty’s greatest motivations has always been her family. She loves caring for her loved ones and especially treasures the time she spends babysitting her grandchildren. Being able to stay active in their lives has been a driving force throughout her recovery.

When she’s not spending time with family, Betty enjoys relaxing with a good book and finds strength and encouragement through her faith and church family. These passions have continued to inspire her every step of the way.

Thanks to her hard work and commitment to therapy, Betty has gained greater independence with daily activities, improved confidence with mobility and transfers, and the ability to return to the activities that bring her the most joy.

Congratulations, Betty! Your determination, resilience, and positive spirit have been an inspiration to all of us. ✨ Meet Ms. Helen Finney! ✨

At The Oaks Healthcare Center, every rehabilitation journey is unique, and today we’re proud to celebrate the incredible progress of Ms. Helen Finney.

When Helen arrived at The Oaks, she had experienced multiple falls that had greatly impacted her confidence, mobility, and ability to safely perform everyday activities. Because of her high risk for falling, she required assistance with walking, transfers, and daily tasks, making it unsafe for her to return home.

Working alongside our skilled physical and occupational therapy teams, Helen committed herself to the rehabilitation process with determination and a positive attitude. Through personalized therapy focused on building strength, improving balance, increasing endurance, enhancing mobility, and practicing fall prevention strategies, Helen made steady progress every step of the way.

As the weeks went on, her confidence grew right along with her strength. She progressed from needing hands-on assistance to safely completing transfers and walking with modified independence using her prescribed assistive device. Just as importantly, she developed the skills and confidence needed to safely navigate her daily routines while reducing her risk of future falls.

Thanks to her hard work and perseverance, Helen successfully met her therapy goals and was able to return home with her daughter. Now, she is able to enjoy greater independence while having the comfort and support of family nearby when needed.

Congratulations, Ms. Helen! Your determination and dedication have been an inspiration to everyone at The Oaks Healthcare Center. We are honored to have been part of your recovery journey and wish you continued health, happiness, and independence in the days ahead. 💙

Our Broken Bow therapy residents are in the Christmas spirit this year! They targeted several of their PT and OT goals with this festive craft - whether it was addressing standing balance during the activity, or focusing on their fine motor skills to create the perfect masterpiece - they LOVED decorating Christmas trees and sharing the joy with their loved ones. 🎄🎅🏽
