This is not just a new name. It is a reflection of where we are headed. Over the years we have expanded our services, deepened our commitment to children and families, and grown into a team that goes beyond early intervention to support development, education, and care across more settings and more stages of a child's journey.

Here is what that looks like:

✅ 📚 Our SEIT program supporting children through individualized special education in their natural environment

If your family is navigating a Cerebral Palsy diagnosis, you are probably learning a whole new vocabulary overnight, and that can feel like a lot. So let's break it down together.

Cerebral palsy results from disruptions in the developing brain, and it affects movement, muscle tone, and posture. But CP looks different in every child. For some, it primarily affects gross motor skills like sitting, crawling, or walking. For others, it impacts fine motor skills, communication, or daily activities like eating and dressing. Some children experience a mix of all of these. No two children with CP are the same, which is why no two care plans should be either.

Here is the part that gives us so much hope. A young child's brain has remarkable plasticity, meaning it can reorganize itself and build new pathways in response to therapy and everyday experiences. Research shows that starting therapy early, even before age one, leads to greater improvements in motor performance. The earlier support begins, the more those small wins can add up over time. ✨

So what kind of therapy actually helps?

✅ 🏃 Physical Therapy (PT) focuses on gross motor skills like strength, balance, and coordination. It is often the starting point for children working on sitting, standing, or walking.
✅ ✋ Occupational Therapy (OT) helps children build skills for daily activities, promoting independence and quality of life, things like dressing, feeding, and play.
✅ 🗣️ Speech Therapy supports communication and can also help with feeding or swallowing challenges. If verbal speech is difficult, therapists can introduce alternative tools like AAC devices or sign language.

Often, more than one therapy works together to support a child's overall development, and that is normal. Progress is rarely a straight line, but it adds up.

If your family is just starting this journey, know that questions are normal, support exists, and small steps matter more than they might seem in the moment. 💙

Meet Stefania Bressi, ABA Provider at White Glove Therapy and Education.

Before Stefania ever worked with children, she was a vocal student with some incredible experiences under her belt, including singing at Carnegie Hall with the Muppets. But everything changed when she became a paraprofessional in college and was paired one-on-one with a crisis student who had significant challenges.

"When I met my student, I finally met my direction in life. And that is to teach kids with disabilities."

From that moment, there was no looking back. For Stefania, the best part of the job has never been the goals on paper. It is the relationships, the trust, and those small breakthroughs that make all the patience worth it. 💙
