How much filler is really in a syringe? 1ml or the size of a blueberry! Filler done right should have an untouched natural look 🫐

Hearing Hannah Berner talk about her masseter Botox experience reminded me: a cosmetic procedure is a medical procedure. These are the 5 questions I want every patient asking before the needle ever comes out 👆
Any that I’m missing??

This is exactly what you are missing on tiktok aka nothing 😘. An interesting note: As someone who holds stress in my shoulders — Botox in the trapezius muscles relaxes the chronically tight muscles, which can ease shoulder tension and even reduce tension headaches that start at the base of the neck. A life saver!!

Tan people: hi, you’re not in trouble.

I just want the “base tan” thing to die. It’s not protection — it’s SPF 3, and the tan itself is your skin responding to damage that already happened. It’s a receipt, not a raincoat.

And that receipt keeps charging you. Every tan is also collagen breaking down, pigment getting more stubborn, fine lines getting a head start. The UV that browns you is the same UV aging you — those aren’t two separate things happening, it’s one thing with two timelines. The color leaves. The rest doesn’t.

The real problem isn’t the color, it’s what people do once they have it: skip the reapply, stay out an extra hour, leave the hat in the car.

Be tan. Be outside. It’s summer. Just wear the sunscreen!! 🧴

Pov: when your social media girl comes in

Agree with The Wall Street Journal on this one - A frozen forehead is not the flex you think it is. Your frontalis is doing unpaid labor holding your brows up — fire it completely and everything drops. I want you expressive, lifted, and still able to look surprised when someone cuts the line at Trader Joe’s! Soften, don’t erase.

Before this trip, I knew thermal water had benefits for the skin — I’ve recommended Avène to patients for years. But there is nothing like seeing it for yourself. Standing at the source in Avène, France, where this water has been used to treat skin conditions since 1736, hits different than reading about it.

What really got me: patients still travel to the hydrotherapy center in Avène for thermal bath treatments for eczema, psoriasis, etc. and leave with life-changing improvements including clearer skin.

Also, did you know you can spray it inside your mouth?? As someone who gets canker sores every time I’m stressed or sick, this is a game changer.

Huge thank you to Eau Thermale Avène and Pierre Fabre for such a thoughtful, science-forward experience. I can’t wait for the exciting products coming to the US — trust me, you’ll want to hear about these. 🇫🇷💦
