And DRUM ROLL! Since launching our virtual program, I’ve been trying to figure out how to bring microneedling with medical grade benefits to our virtual patients. Not because the skincare alone doesn’t work..because it does. REALLY WELL!! But you know, we always want more. Once virtuals reach maintenance with pigment gone, they are always asking me to recommend someone in their state for microneedling because they want the additional anti-aging benefits. That’s pretty much impossible for me to do. No 2 people microneedle the same. Technique and pressure vary tremendously. No 2 devices are even the same -even if the same brand. Company A has Brand X and it’s brand new. Company B also has Brand X..but they bought it used with 30,000 hours on it. Are those two devices going to perform the same? I see techniques online very often that make me cringe. I’m not in someone else’s office. I didn’t train these providers. I can’t speak for their work, and microneedling can be done so wrong. This is especially important when using actives. Crappy tools and techniques will likely lead to chronic inflammation-giving you an entire new problem.
