The Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office Office partners with Louisiana Crisis Intervention Teams (CIT) to provide specialized training for deputies across local regions. The program helps law enforcement professionals strengthen their skills in crisis response, de-escalation, and connecting individuals experiencing mental health or developmental challenges with appropriate care and support.

Ochsner Behavioral Health Acadiana (OBHA) was grateful to be part of the conversation.

Community Liaison, Robyn P. led classes focused on substance abuse, mental health, and culture, while Marketing Director, Lauren G. was able to talk to the deputies about OBHA's behavioral health services and how our teams can serve as a resource for individuals and families in need.

Ochsner Behavioral Health Acadiana was grateful for the opportunity to participate in Ochsner Health’s STEM Pathfinder Program and help introduce students to the many career paths available in healthcare.

Grace, clinical director at our Broussard campus, spoke with scholars about mental health, personal well-being and the importance of supporting others. Her message made a meaningful impact, and the students recognized her during their culminating presentation. One scholar even shared that after hearing Grace speak, she is now considering a future in behavioral health.

We are proud of Grace for representing our team so thoughtfully and grateful to Ochsner for creating opportunities that inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals.
