A wound care specialist can help evaluate wounds that are not healing as expected and identify underlying conditions that may be affecting recovery.

Gregory Domer, MD, Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon, explains that wound care often involves a multidisciplinary team. Depending on the patient's needs, care may include collaboration with vascular specialists, endocrinologists, and infectious disease physicians to address the factors contributing to the wound.

Wound care specialists evaluate why a wound isn’t healing, including circulation issues, infection, and underlying conditions such as diabetes. Gregory Domer, MD, Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon, explains that wound care goes beyond treating the surface. Patients receive a full vascular evaluation, and when needed, advanced treatments such as vascular interventions and hyperbaric oxygen therapy support healing.

Not all wounds are the same. Some require a deeper look to address the cause, not just the symptom. If a wound isn’t healing as expected, a specialist evaluation may be needed. Learn more about our Wound Care services: https://ow.ly/Hypl50ZacGR
