Words matter. People matter more.

This has come up for me more than usual lately, so I’m going to post some things we’ve said for years that deserve a second look.

Starting with what if we stopped telling people they have to hit rock bottom?

You don't have to lose your family, your home, your career or your life to deserve recovery.

Help should be available long before everything falls apart.

Recovery doesn't require rock bottom.

Cyclophorine is making its way around our country.
Drugs will never go away, unfortunately. There is too much money tied up in it - let’s just call it what is.
This why making treatment ACCESSIBLE is more important than outlawing substances. There will always be more.
And this particular one is 10 times more potent than Fentanyl that everyone is up in arms about

We had someone reach out about Naloxone after being prescribed to pain medication.

We ALWAYS have Naloxone (Narcan) if you need it for yourself, your car, or a parent on pain management who may forget and take an extra dose.

Narcan saves lives.

If you could create a peer support group, who would you create it for?
A few ideas I’ve had to add to our line up are:
•Family support
•First Responders
•Nurses/MH professionals
•Teachers
•A women’s/moms group
•A men’s/dads group
•Sobriety in the service industry
•Non-profit leaders

These are all to support one another, they don’t have to be focused on substance misuse - I think we all could use more connection 🩷 Just a group to look forward to seeing on a regular basis.

We are going to switch up some meetings and add more for 2027!

My ask from our community partners, allies and businesses, restaurants, is if you’d be willing to sponsor dinner for one of these meetings?

You can cook it, order pizza or fried chicken, etc. we would just love to be able to provide.
You can pick the weekly meeting and your budget and we can do the rest, if you’d like!
