🌟 TEAM SHOUTOUT: ALIX! 🌟

We have to take a minute to brag on one of our very own, Alix, OT!! 🤍

Alix is always going ABOVE AND BEYOND for her kiddos and families, taking the initiative to create educational resources that help parents better understand their child’s development and how to encourage continued progress outside of therapy! Also sharing resources with the team of other OTs.

And while that alone deserves recognition, it’s WHO Alix is every single day that makes her so special!

She shows up with the BEST attitude, an incredible work ethic, a genuine heart to serve, and a willingness to do whatever it takes to make a difference. She doesn’t just show up to do a job. She shows up to LOVE people, pour into families, support her teammates, and give her very best to the children entrusted to her care.

Every baby develops at their own pace, and it’s completely normal for babies to reach milestones at different times. However, there are certain age appropriate skills that are important to keep an eye on.
If your baby isn’t meeting a particular milestone right away, there’s no need to panic. But if you notice they’re having difficulty with a skill, it’s important to address it! Early intervention can make a big difference and help your baby get the support they need.

You know your baby best. If something doesn’t feel right, trust your instincts and don’t be afraid to ask questions. Addressing concerns early can help prevent delays from becoming more challenging down the road.

Labels don’t exist when you understand there can be a root cause for certain behaviors.

Our goal is to dig deeper than what we see on the surface and to really figure out what is causing your child to respond or behave in a certain way.

So, if you find us asking questions that seem random or unrelated, we promise there’s a reason! Every question helps us piece together the bigger picture and better understand what may be driving the behaviors we’re seeing. 🖤

It doesn’t matter how long your child has been in school, a full day of learning, interactions, loud noises, and sensory input can cause their nervous systems to be overwhelmed and overstimulated.

At TheraPEDS, our goal is to let your child flourish in the world around them, not just meet goals on a chart. Getting to know your child and what they enjoy doing is so special to us, and we love to incorporate their hobbies into their sessions.

Kids learn best when they’re having fun and our therapists help make sure that happens!
