Why don't I always wash my eggs or sell them washed unless people ask?

Let's talk......

Did you know eggs last far longer when they aren't washed?

➡️ Why? Because of the "Bloom" on them. The Bloom is a waxy coating that protects the eggs from bacteria.

Washing eggs shortens their life span by over a month! 😳

🥚 Unwashed eggs can last up to 8 weeks on the counter or months in the fridge.

🍳 While washed eggs last up to a month or two in the fridge.

So as a reminder... we aren't just being lazy about it. We are trying to make your eggs last as long as we can. 😉

Things we will be making with this harvest ➡️
☕️ Garden Tea (recipe from a friend)
🥗 Salad
🌮 Lettuce for tacos
🧼 Rosemary and Mint for soaps
🥩 Rosemary for marinating lamb
🌿 Cilantro and Parsley for seasoning
🍓 Peep the first two baby strawberries 🥹

YES, this is your sign to start an herb garden!!!! We have these plants and others in two 3' x 5' boxes.

When the whole world starts discussing dyes in your food, chemicals in your drinks, and I’m sure you know where this is going……

Don’t forget about your local farms and homesteads that have been doing this all along.

They raise so many different products depending on the farm. Not only do you see a difference in the meat but you taste a difference in the meat.

We focus on raising healthy and quality products and live sharing our homestead with others! 🤍
