Happy ! To show our volunteers how grateful we are for everything that they do to support our patients and their families, we treated them out to a Happy Hour event at Rock & Brews, where we spoke about their experiences volunteering with us over drinks and bites.
We are so incredibly proud and grateful for all our volunteers! In 2025, our volunteers contributed over 1,114 hours of direct patient care, as well as over 427 hours of administrative and bereavement support. These hours reflect visits at the bedside, conversations to ease patient and caregiver isolation, support for grieving families, and opportunities for loved ones to rest or take time for themselves, knowing someone caring was present with their loved one.
To everyone volunteer who has offered their presence, talents, and heart, thank you for helping Orange Hospice continue its mission of providing hospice care that honors life in Orange County.

Today, our administrator partnered with other senior care providers and resources in the community to speak to the Korean population in La Mirada Landmark Adult Community. He provided education about care options as residents age in place, and resources they can utilize to live as comfortably and healthily as possible at home.
We hope to be a helpful resource to anyone in our community seeking support and guidance when it comes to senior care, no matter whether you are inquiring about hospice care or not. Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions, or if you would like to request an educational speaker for your community!

We dropped off this lovely potted tulip to our medical director, Dr Chun, to show our appreciation for everything he does to walk alongside our patients and their families during one of the most vulnerable times in their lives. Today is World Tuberculosis Day. 😷🦠Here are some important facts to know about the TB virus:
🦠Without treatment, 1 in 10 people with inactive TB will get sick with active TB, which spreads through air and can infect anyone.
🦠You may be at risk for TB even if you have received the TB vaccine because its protection weakens over time.
🦠 Treating active TB is significantly harder and more costly than treating inactive TB. Treating inactive TB is arguably the most powerful tool we have for eliminating the TB disease.

Spread awareness about this important topic so we can continue the important work of eliminating Tuberculosis worldwide!

The Heat Advisory in SoCal ends tonight at 8pm, with temperatures expected to stay high into the coming week. As part of Patient Safety Awareness Week, here are some tips to help your loved one beat the heat.
While it is crucial to tend to your loved one’s needs and safety during this time, be sure to be mindful of your own health. A caregiver affected by heat cannot provide safe care to others!

We are so happy to honor our wonderful volunteer Johanna for winning the Presidential Volunteer Service Award. Johanna has been a dedicated volunteer with our program since 2024, and has since selflessly given over 200 hours of her time to bring comfort, support, and companionship to our patients and their families.
