When things got too slow here, I had to really think about what was next.
For years since the pandemic, I had been trying to rebuild—trying to get things back to where they were, trying different things, pushing harder and hoping business would eventually return to what I once knew.
But at some point I realized…it was time to stop only trying to rebuild what was and start creating what could be next.
I decided I wanted to combine my love for massage therapy + my love for traveling and create new opportunities beyond state lines. ✈️💆🏾♀️
Now y’all KNOW I love home. 😂 Buffalo will always be home, and NO, I’m not moving! But I also know I can’t stay stagnant.
Because when something you’ve built, poured into and worked so hard for can no longer fully support you, it gets hard to keep pushing the same way. And one thing I refuse to do is fall out of love with what I do just because business got slow.
The dream of becoming a multi-state licensed massage therapist actually started a couple of years ago. I talked about it, researched it, planned it… and finally in May I pushed myself to take the MBLEX so I could officially start the process of becoming licensed in other states.
I PASSED. 🙌🏾
And the process began.
I also started my YouTube channel and, as you may have noticed, added The Traveling Massage Therapist to my name because this next chapter is becoming a real part of the Massage Is Life brand.
But this isn’t JUST about traveling for business.
Travel has always been something I genuinely love. I’ve been blessed to experience so many beautiful places over the years, but when business slowed down, traveling had to take a back seat too. So part of this journey is also about getting back to ME and getting back to something I love.
This next chapter is a combination of business + personal.
Building new opportunities.
Seeing new places.
Experiencing life.
Doing the work I love.
And continuing to prioritize self-care along the way.
Work Hard. Travel Often. Live Fully. Prioritize Self-Care. ✈️💜
In 2027, Massage Is Life will begin traveling and hosting pop-ups in:
📍 Maryland
📍 Georgia
📍 Florida
📍 Tennessee
📍 Ohio
And Buffalo will STILL be home base. 💜
I’ll also be taking Massage for a Cause on the road—using massage therapy to raise funds and awareness for my nonprofit in memory of my angel Jordyn, Jordyn’s Light Inc. for pregnancy and infant loss, while connecting with communities beyond Western New York.
Sometimes expansion doesn’t mean abandoning what you built.
Sometimes it means realizing you can’t keep waiting for everything to go back to what it used to be.
Sometimes you have to create something new.
Almost 9 years in, and I’m still finding new ways to evolve. ✈️💆🏾♀️💜
Subscribe to my YouTube channel (The Traveling Massage Therapist) and stay connected with Massage Is Life on Instagram and Facebook so you can follow the journey!
The best is yet to come. 💜✨
