Here is a little introduction on me and what I do at Equipaws Therapeutic Services. I am a ATS Equine/Canine Certified Electro-Acuscope and Myoplulse Therapist and I use the Electro-Acuscope and Myopulse therapy system to support healing, comfort, and overall wellness in both horses and dogs. This FDA-approved system uses microcurrent, which is a very gentle electrical current that the body naturally produces at the cellular level. What makes this therapy different is its built-in biofeedback system, which allows the equipment to respond to what your animal’s body needs during each session.
The biofeedback technology allows the system to “listen” to the body and automatically adjust the microcurrent in real time. This means your horse or dog only receives the amount of current their body can actually use. The therapy is non-invasive, extremely gentle, and safe when performed by a properly trained practitioner. It supports the body’s natural healing process and can help speed up recovery.
The Acuscope focuses on the nervous system. It helps improve communication between nerve cells and can identify areas of dysfunction or imbalance in the body. Once those areas are identified, the appropriate microcurrent is applied to help bring the cells back toward a healthier, more balanced state.
The Myopulse works primarily with muscles and connective tissues such as tendons, ligaments, fascia, and other soft tissues. It supports muscle relaxation, circulation, and tissue recovery. Depending on your animal’s needs, the Acuscope and Myopulse can be used individually or together.
There are many therapy options available for animals, but I chose this system because it is specifically calibrated for animals—not humans. Many microcurrent devices are designed for people and are less effective when used on animals. This system was developed and calibrated for animals, allowing for more accurate and effective treatments.
Helping animals heal, stay comfortable, and prevent injury is something I am deeply passionate about, which is why I became a Certified Veterinary Technician. By using the Electro-Acuscope and Myopulse system that allows me to offer a gentle, non-invasive option for pain management, faster recovery, and maintaining healthy cellular function for both horses and dogs. Other animals can also benefit from this as well including cattle, goats, and cats to name a few.
I offer several programs to support animals at different stages of life and activity:
* **Preventative Maintenance for animals with no history of injury, helping them stay comfortable and balanced
* **Optimizing Performance & Recovery Program for active or working horses and dogs, focusing on preparation, recovery, and ongoing support
* **General Maintenance for animals with chronic conditions or previous injuries, helping manage discomfort and slow progression
***Rehabilitation programs customized to your animal’s specific needs, created in collaboration with your veterinarian
