Breastfeeding Mama Talk

Breastfeeding Mama Talk Empowering moms since 2012 through the beautiful, messy, and magical journey of breastfeeding. You’re not alone, this is your village.

Real talk, raw moments, late-night feeds, leaky boobs, and unconditional love. Please note: It is impossible for us to get to every single message sent into us. We do not re-post EVERY single message that comes in. We try to answer what we can or redirect you to another outlet such as our Breastfeeding Mama Talk Privately group.

~This is a breastfeeding support page, BUT WE ARE NOT LIMITED TO ON

LY BREASTFEEDING. We also promote peaceful parenting, and more. .

~We are a peaceful parenting/Breastfeeding page

~BFMT supports a woman's right to choose what she does with her own body. Not just in regards to her breastfeeding choices. That goes for pregnancy, sexual consent, birth control, etc... Just so it doesn't come as a surprise to anyone later on down the road, BFMT is pro choice , with no apologies...

When I first created this page it was intended only for breastfeeding support, but at the last minute I changed the name and added mama talk because I do want to focus on supporting breastfeeding, but I don't want to stop there - we want it to be a "one stop shop." I also want ALL mommies to feel comfortable and welcome here no matter how they choose to feed their babies.

~Really the only rules we impose here is absolutely NO NEGATIVE comments about the way a mother chooses to feed her baby, whether it be with breast milk or formula. I can't have my breastfeeding mothers feeling in ANY WAY uncomfortable to come here and post pics and ask questions. They need to feel 100% safe that ANYTHING breastfeeding related is safe. I added the formula rule because I need people to know that although we're 100% for breastfeeding that we don't judge those that don't. I have seen a lot of breastfeeding pages come off very judgmental and flat out rude to mothers who formula feed, and that isn't right. You can bring something up without having to bring something else down in return.

~*PLEASE NOTE: We post breastfeeding pictures on a daily basis, so if that is something you don't like seeing or don’t want showing up on your news feed, then this isn't the page for you.

*This page supports a woman's right to breastfeed however, wherever, and for however long she chooses.

~I have no problem banning people that can't follow those two simple rules. Also just have common courtesy. I mean if you see something that's posted that you don't agree with, scroll past it or hide it from your newsfeed, it's not that hard. Remember, with a page of almost 375,000 it's impossible to please everyone.

We have created a "private group" coming from this page. Basically, the perks of a group opposed to the page is nothing shows up in peoples newsfeeds unless they’re a member, and you can search for buried posts. Oh and no guys are allowed in the private group. Here is the private group, just request in and an admin will approve it. https://www.facebook.com/groups/bfmtprivately/

We have an Uncensored outlet for those that like a bit of debate and controversy in their lives. This outlet is our Mama Talk Uncensored group and it IS NOT a "support group" it's a group to get your debate on and to enter at your own risk. https://www.facebook.com/groups/mamatalkuncensored/

We have an uncensored Public page called "The Lion's Den" where we post a variety of different topics and will post almost all Fan questions and shares. https://www.facebook.com/TheLionsDenBFMT

Sometimes breastfeeding is not about hunger at all. Sometimes it is where an overwhelmed little nervous system comes to settle, where stress softens, tears slow down, and a baby borrows calm from the body that feels safest. That is part of the science of it. Our warmth, heartbeat, scent, touch, and milk all work together in ways that go far beyond feeding. So when your baby comes to the breast in the middle of a hard moment, it is not “just comfort.” Comfort is the point. And there is something incredibly powerful about knowing your body can be both nourishment and refuge at the very same time. ❤️

Nobody tells you about the emotional whiplash of breastfeeding.

One minute, you are angry, overstimulated, touched out, convinced you are failing, and wondering how you could possibly keep doing this for one more day.

Then he rests his tiny hand on you.

And suddenly you are crying because his fingers are so small, his cheeks are too cute, and you love him so much you could literally squeeze him.

Breastfeeding hormones are wild.

I cannot do this anymore.

Also, look at how cute his little hand is makes me cry.

This is what nourishment, love, and legacy look like.

Breastfeeding isn’t just about milk
it’s about connection, culture, survival, and strength. For generations, mothers around the world have nourished their children with their bodies, passing down more than just food, but wisdom, resilience, and love.

This World Breastfeeding Week, let’s honor every mother, in every corner of the world, who continues this timeless tradition.

Breastfeeding is power. Breastfeeding is beauty. Breastfeeding is universal.

A moment as old as humanity itself.
No bottles. No pumps. No schedules.
Just a mother, her baby, and the instinct to nourish.

Breastfeeding isn’t just food
it’s culture, connection, and survival. 🌍🤱

What does breastfeeding mean to you?

If you’re breastfeeding right now and crying, this is for you…

Maybe your baby won’t latch.
Maybe your ni***es are cracked and bleeding.
Maybe you’re exhausted and touched out.
Maybe it’s 3am and everyone’s asleep but you.
Maybe you’re wondering if this is worth it.

I just want you to know you’re not alone.

There are so many moms, right now, in the same moment as you.
Wiping tears. Holding babies. Doubting themselves.

Breastfeeding isn’t always soft and magical.
Sometimes it’s heavy.
Sometimes it’s thankless.
Sometimes it breaks you a little before it builds you back up.

But you’re still doing it.
One feed at a time. One tear at a time. One miracle at a time.

You are seen. You are strong.
And even if no one else says it today:
I’m proud of you. 🤱💛

🏆 WORLD BREASTFEEDING WEEK • DAY 4 GIVEAWAY 🏆

Can we take a minute to give pumping moms the credit they deserve?

Because pumping is breastfeeding.

It's waking up before everyone else to squeeze in a session.

It's washing pump parts for what feels like the 487th time this week.

It's scheduling your day around ounces instead of hours.

It's pumping in your car, at work, in a supply closet, in an airport bathroom, or wherever you can find 20 uninterrupted minutes.

It's celebrating every single ounce because you know exactly what it took to make it.

To every mom who's ever looked down at a bottle and thought...

"I worked really hard for this."

I see you.

You are feeding your baby with your body, your time, your dedication, and your love.

You are a breastfeeding mama, too. ❤️

💛 To enter today's giveaway, tell me where you've pumped that made you think, "Well... this wasn't exactly in the parenting books." 😂

One lucky commenter will receive this adorable Mother Pumper vinyl sticker!

And because transparency matters, none of these World Breastfeeding Week giveaways are sponsored. I purchased every item myself because I wanted to celebrate the incredible moms who make this community so special.

Happy World Breastfeeding Week, mamas. 💛

To close out day three of World Breastfeeding Week, let this be your reminder of just how powerful a woman’s body can be. Even when we are exhausted, our bodies keep working, making milk, releasing it, comforting our babies, and helping their tiny nervous systems settle. Our warmth, scent, heartbeat, touch, and milk become their first and most familiar support system. The milk is already there, warm and ready. No measuring, mixing, warming, or midnight run to the store. You can stay tucked in, pull your baby close, and let your body do the work it was designed to do. Even when we feel like we have nothing left, somehow our bodies are still nourishing, regulating, and loving all at once. That is science. That is strength. That is the quiet power of breastfeeding. ❤️

🏆 WORLD BREASTFEEDING WEEK • DAY 3 GIVEAWAY 🏆

Raise your hand if you've ever had to stop mid feed and think...

"Wait... did they just nurse on the left... or was it the right?" 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

Nothing humbles you quite like staring at your own b***s trying to solve a mystery you created five minutes ago.

That's why I thought this little lactation charm was genius. It clips onto your bra strap so you always know which side baby nursed from last.

💗 To enter, tell me your funniest "Which side was it?!" moment in the comments.

One lucky mom will get this charm mailed to her!

Also, just so you know, none of these World Breastfeeding Week giveaways are sponsored. I bought every single item myself because I thought they'd make another breastfeeding mom smile. ❤️
