I love my herd "stalls". Every morning, all horses are together in one stall. I have 2 15x30 stalls that can be subdivided if necessary. This allows shelter while maintaining the herd dynamics.

Mane pulls is a gentle and effective myofascial release technique that anyone can perform successfully. Gather the mane at the base with one or two handfulls. Gently and slowly pull upwards. Hold for a few minutes. Shift the direction of pull to the right and towards the left. This simple decompression of the fascia can improve skin mobility and functional range of motion.

Treating Without Pain...that's the key!

Being aggressive makes no sense. The more pain you create, and the more aggressive you are, the more the body will protect itself. Stiffness, tightness, weakness and swelling are all protective responses. You can get people to have full ROM in 1/2 the time if you start with the skin layer… not the muscle and joint.

LT had dental today! Caps and wolf teeth removed and molars smoothed. This should help with weight gain!

Difference between beginner camp and intermediate camp.

Beginner camp is for students ages 7-18 years old who would love to learn the beginning stages of horse riding and horsemanship. This day will be packed full of everyday horse husbandry, from learning about the equipment we use to learning the feel of riding. Our biggest goal is safety, so everything we do is based on that and on the regulations of the Certified Horsemanship Association. This group will mainly focus on balance, control, and the walk and trot. We will be offering both English and Western style tack.

Intermediate day camp is for students ages 7-18 who are already jumping and/or can walk, trot, and canter. These students will have their skills challenged by obstacles/courses, asking horses for body movements (on the ground and under saddle). Horse husbandry is a huge part of horses; this group will get more in-depth with that, often in farm life and outdoor situations or seasonal scenarios.
