We have another new face at Keystone! 🎉 Please help us welcome Andrew Morton, Resident in Counseling, to our team.
Andrew primarily works with children, teens, and families, especially kids struggling with ADHD, anxiety, separation anxiety, emotional regulation, and behavioral challenges.
One of the things we really appreciate about Andrew is that he understands parenting from both sides of the therapy room.
He’s a father of four, so when a parent says, “We’ve tried EVERYTHING,” he understands that there’s usually a whole lot of exhaustion, worry, frustration, and love packed into that sentence.
His goal isn’t to identify the “problem child.” Instead, Andrew works with kids and their parents to understand what’s driving the struggle and help families find more effective ways to communicate, create consistency, and reconnect.
Andrew also brings a pretty unique life experience to his clinical work: 21 years of military service around the world.
His own transition out of the military challenged his sense of identity and purpose and ultimately deepened his commitment to helping others navigate anxiety, trauma, major transitions, and those seasons when the life you knew suddenly doesn’t fit anymore.
Whether he’s sitting with a frustrated 10-year-old, an exhausted parent, or an adult figuring out who they are after a major life change, Andrew brings the same three things into the room:
Consistency, compassion, and curiosity.
Andrew is now accepting new clients in person in Burke, VA and virtually throughout Virginia.
We’re very glad to have you at Keystone, Andrew! 💛
