It's the final week to get registered for our upcoming game!!

Shooting Stars is calling on athletes with disabilities and special needs, ages 10 and older, to lace up their sneakers and join us for a basketball experience designed to celebrate their abilities and create unforgettable memories!

Pathways for Inclusion is thrilled to partner with three incredible seniors from Harrison Central High School—Bailey Smith, Kamryn Crothers, and Leah Grady—as they bring their senior project to life with the first SHOOTING STARS INCLUSIVE BASKETBALL GAME!

Each registered athlete will be paired with a Harrison Central High School buddy who will help coach, encourage, and assist them as they take the court to play against other Harrison Central athletes!

No basketball experience necessary—just bring your enthusiasm, your team spirit, and your biggest smile!
⏰ 1:00 PM – Athletes arrive to receive their jerseys, meet their buddies, warm up, and prepare for the big game!

🍼💗 INFANT FEEDING EVALUATIONS 💗🍼

Did you know Hometown offers feeding evaluations starting at birth?! 👶🏼

Feeding your newborn should be a bonding experience, but sometimes it comes with challenges. If feeding feels stressful or your little one is struggling, you don’t have to navigate it alone!

✨ What are signs your infant may benefit from a feeding evaluation?

• Difficulty latching during breastfeeding or bottle-feeding
• Clicking sounds while feeding or difficulty maintaining a seal
• Milk leaking from the mouth
• Coughing, choking, gagging, or frequent sputtering during feeds
• Difficulty coordinating sucking, swallowing, and breathing
• Feeds that consistently take a long time- a feed should never take more than 30 minutes
• Frequent pulling away, fussiness, or distress during feeding
• Difficulty transitioning between breast and bottle
• Concerns about oral motor skills or milk transfer
• Poor weight gain or concerns about getting enough milk

💕 How can our SLPs and OTs help?

👩🏼‍⚕️ Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) can assess your infant’s oral motor skills, sucking patterns, feeding coordination, and swallowing concerns. They can help identify feeding difficulties and determine whether further assessment or medical follow-up is needed.

🧸 Occupational Therapists (OTs) can support feeding positioning, regulation, and comfortable feeding routines while helping families develop strategies for positive feeding experiences.

At Hometown, we believe early intervention starts early—even in infancy! You don’t have to wait for your baby to get older to seek help with feeding difficulties. 💗

📍 Contact Hometown Pediatric Solutions to ask about an infant feeding evaluation. We are here to support both you and your little one!
