What actually happens inside your body during Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy?

HBOT combines oxygen delivery with increased pressure inside a hyperbaric chamber. Under pressure, more oxygen can dissolve into the plasma, increasing oxygen availability in the blood and surrounding tissues.

That higher oxygen availability can support oxygen-dependent cellular processes and is one reason HBOT is used in specific medical conditions.

HBOT is more than simply breathing extra oxygen — it’s oxygen delivered in a pressurized environment.

At California Brain & Spine Center, treatment settings are individualized based on the patient and clinical protocol.
To learn whether HBOT may be appropriate for you, contact our clinical team.

Feeling dizzy and don’t know why? Your eye movements may hold important clues. 👀
VNG testing uses specialized goggles to record eye movements, helping us investigate how your balance system is functioning.
At California Brain & Spine Center, we consider these findings alongside your symptoms, history, and examination to help guide individualized care.
VNG is an assessment—not a treatment. Understanding what may be contributing to your symptoms helps us determine the next steps.
If dizziness or imbalance is interfering with your daily life, schedule a complimentary consultation to discuss your concerns.

Your day has barely started—but your heart is already racing.

For some people living with postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS), getting out of bed can be a difficult part of the morning. The increase in heart rate with standing can be more pronounced early in the day.

If this feels familiar, your symptoms deserve to be heard and evaluated. A racing heart alone does not confirm POTS—understanding when it happens and what accompanies it matters.

Save this post to help describe your morning symptoms at your next appointment, or share it with someone who wants to better understand POTS.

To learn about our approach to evaluation and rehabilitation, schedule a complimentary consultation with California Brain & Spine Center.

What if your seemingly unrelated symptoms are actually connected?

A racing heart. Unexplained dizziness. Digestive problems. Temperature sensitivity. Brain fog.

These symptoms may seem unrelated, but they can sometimes point to dysfunction in the autonomic nervous system.

October is Dysautonomia Awareness Month, and we’re raising awareness about a condition that is often misunderstood or overlooked.

Your autonomic nervous system helps regulate essential functions like heart rate, blood pressure, digestion, sweating, and body temperature.

When this system isn’t functioning properly, symptoms can affect multiple parts of your body.

💙 Your symptoms deserve to be heard, understood, and properly evaluated.

At California Brain & Spine Center, we offer comprehensive neurological evaluations and individualized rehabilitation approaches for patients experiencing symptoms associated with dysautonomia and POTS.

Eight years of post-concussion symptoms. And still searching for answers.

This patient came to us after years of dizziness, headaches, light sensitivity, and difficulty with concentration and memory.

What stood out to them wasn’t a promise of a quick fix—it was finally feeling thoroughly evaluated, listened to, and having a plan built around what the evaluation revealed.

After beginning care, they shared that they were noticing changes in their balance and cognitive clarity—and, perhaps just as importantly, feeling hopeful about the road ahead.

We’re grateful they trusted us with their care and allowed us to share their experience. 💙

If you’re still struggling with persistent symptoms after a concussion, a more detailed evaluation may help identify areas that deserve a closer look.
