The ‘seeking’ ego-mind likes to isolate certain statements a ‘sage’ said and make axioms out of them.
Ramana Maharshi (supposedly) said that self-enquiry was the only method to reach nondual realization.
He also said this:
“You already are the nondual Self. How could the Self ever be apart from itself or possibly find Itself?”
He also said this:
“You impose limits on your true nature of infinite being. Then you get displeased to be only a limited creature. Then you begin spiritual practices to transcend these non-existing limits. But if your practice itself implies the existence of these limits, how could they allow you to transcend them.”
So are we saying don’t cling to any one aphorism spoken by any sage you revere?
No.
We are saying disregard everything they said and find out yourself.
That’s how they did it (“they” did Nothing.)
There is no path to realization. There is no one to realize anything. There is only What Is…Now.
That’s not an aphorism – that’s the truth.
But don’t take my word for it.
Find out your Self.
