One thing I find interesting about the human body…
Most of us never think about movement when it feels easy.
We don’t think about turning our head to back out of a parking space.
We don’t think about reaching into a cabinet.
We don’t think about getting out of a chair.
We simply do it.
In fact, the body is constantly performing thousands of small movements every day without asking for much attention.
Muscles contract and relax.
Joints glide.
Balance adjusts.
Our nervous system coordinates it all in the background.
When everything is working well, movement feels effortless.
The interesting part is that we often don’t appreciate how remarkable that is until something changes.
A stiff neck.
A sore shoulder.
An aching back.
Suddenly, something that used to happen automatically demands our attention.
That’s one reason I find the human body so fascinating.
When it’s functioning well, it quietly does an incredible amount of work for us every single day.
Most of the time, we never even notice.
Maybe that’s a good reminder for all of us…
Take a moment today and appreciate something your body still allows you to do comfortably.
