Seed oils have been getting a lot of attention lately, but are they really as unhealthy as some people claim? The answer isn't so simple.

Current research doesn't support the idea that seed oils are inherently toxic. In fact, oils like canola, sunflower, and soybean oil contain unsaturated fats that can be part of a heart-healthy diet when used in moderation. What matters most is your overall eating pattern, including plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats.
