Thank you so much!

Today, we were so proud to present $1,500 to Autism Awareness of Southeast Missouri
from the proceeds of our very first golf tournament.

Our “why” has always been the families facing a new diagnosis and wondering what comes next. The appointments, therapy, waiting lists, trips, missed work, gas money, and all those hard in-between moments can feel overwhelming. We know because we were there—and that is exactly why we are here now: to help, guide, support, and remind families they do not have to walk through it alone.

Autism Awareness of Southeast Missouri is such a wonderful resource for local families. Please send anyone you know who may need information, guidance, support, or help taking those first steps their way. They truly care, they understand, and they have so many great resources available.

Thank you again to every sponsor, golfer, volunteer, donor, friend, and family member who helped make this possible. We had a whole lot of fun on the course, but being able to give back is the very best part. 💙⛳️
We are so thankful!!

One check presented… and another special stop coming soon! 🧩🥰💙

🚨FOR REAL FRIDAY 🚨

Autism isn't just what people see during a meltdown.
It's the monsters nobody talks about:
👂 Sensory overload from sounds, lights, smells, or textures others barely notice.
🗓️ Anxiety when routines change unexpectedly.
🗣️ Communication challenges when thoughts don't always come out the way they're intended.
🤯 Social overwhelm from trying to navigate a world that often doesn't make sense.
⏳ Processing delays that make "Hurry up!" one of the least helpful phrases ever invented.
And sometimes, after fighting all those monsters all day, a meltdown isn't bad behavior—it's exhaustion.
The good news? Understanding, patience, and acceptance are monster repellent. 💙
What's one "autism monster" you've encountered that more people should know about?

For Real Friday 💙
If you've ever chased an autistic kid who suddenly remembered they left their favorite thing somewhere... you know this meme isn't far from the truth. 😂🏃‍♂️💨
But here's the real part: Autism isn't just what people see in a 30-second moment. It's a world of unique strengths, challenges, perspectives, and incredible determination.
At Autism Awareness of Southeast Missouri, we're working to create understanding, acceptance, and support for individuals and families right here in our community.
So today, laugh at the meme... but also take a moment to learn, listen, and celebrate the amazing people who make our world a little different and a lot more interesting. 💙
