A former INDYCAR driver and team owner, Sam Schmidt became a quadriplegic after a racing accident in 2000. That accident changed his life and his outlook and drove him to help others with physical disabilities through his founding of the Driven NeuroRecovery Center.

Sam will join us next Saturday at the Chicago Abilities Expo where you can stop by to check out BraunAbility vehicles and pick up a copy of Sam's memoir, No Finish Line: A Racer's Journey of Passion, Perseverance and Purpose, at the BraunAbility booth (booth 101). All proceeds from book sales support the Driven NeuroRecovery Center.

Indy 500 weekend is all about performance and innovation. Robert Wickens stopped by the Chevrolet display to check out the next-generation BraunAbility Traverse. A former IndyCar driver who was injured in a racing accident, he now competes in races with the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA). On the track, you'll see him driving a Chevrolet Corvette with hand controls, but off the track, The next-generation BraunAbility Traverse could be his new ride.

As part of our vehicle testing process, a small group of wheelchair users evaluated our newest SUV, providing invaluable feedback directly to our engineers. Hebert was one of those early testers, helping inform the final vehicle that is now available at local BraunAbility dealers.
