I started this journey with some simple outside walking. I started off slow and those walks turned into some great therapy for me. After I added a hydra pack and music it became so much more enjoyable and I started to take it very seriously. I started to go on some very long 8 mile walks. It’s a great feeling being outside and walking! I like changing up my routes so I get new scenery. I inherited
some gym equipment. Stair Master, Elliptical and a Treadmill. I made myself a nice little home gym and I added free weights, a bench, yoga mat, etc.... I really wasn’t sure how I was going to use or incorporate all of this stuff in some kind of routine but I figured out something that worked well for me. I love my outside walks but I love the home gym too. I figured out a way to be able to do both without missing out. I do the gym routine one day and outside walks on other days. I’ve mostly been focused on the home gym lately and strength training. I’ve had some really good emotional moments too. My endorphins kicking up positive energy! It feels so amazing! I keep consistent and eating right has also become a big thing for me. I used to weigh 170lbs which wasn’t terrible but I was still overweight for my body frame. I was able to get myself all the way down to 143lbs. I cut out sugar, bread, fast food and became much more conscious of what I eat. Now, I hover around 158lbs. I’ve gained a few pounds back in muscle. I think that’s a perfect weight for me. I never thought I would or could be addicted to working out, but I’am now. I love it and I plan to keep at it. It has helped me so much!! Gaining muscle, sleeping better, relieving anxiety and stress from my life and overall just feeling better physically and mentally. I love the return benefits I get out of doing all this! My hope is to inspire others to get into some type of workout routine. Happy Wellness to you all!
