🎨✨ Our residents love showcasing their creative side—especially when they get the chance to try something new!

This week, our Memory Care residents explored flyswatter painting, a fun and unique way to create colorful masterpieces without worrying about staying inside the lines. With a few splatters, swipes, and lots of laughter, beautiful works of art came to life!

Our residents affectionately call this style "modern art," and we couldn't agree more. Activities like these encourage self-expression, creativity, and most importantly, fun!

Who knew a flyswatter could be such a great art tool? 🖌️💙

Today, our residents enjoyed a special visit from MVP Dairy! 🐄🥛

MVP Dairy presented an engaging look at life on a modern dairy farm and shared what dairy production looks like on a larger scale. Residents had the opportunity to learn about the daily operations of a working dairy farm, ask questions, and gain a greater appreciation for the journey from farm to table.

A special thank you to Kammy, who did an amazing job connecting with our residents! She brought samples of dairy feed for residents to touch and explore, as well as delicious yogurt for everyone to taste. The hands-on experience made learning fun and interactive for all.

Thank you, MVP Dairy and Kammy, for sharing your knowledge and creating such a memorable afternoon! ❤️

Therapy Department Resident Success Story: Nita Hellwarth

During Nita's recent rehabilitation stay here at Celina Manor, she participated in therapy every day and looked forward to each session. She praised the therapy team for being both “friendly and helpful,” and appreciated the variety of activities incorporated into her treatment plan.
Some of Nita’s favorite aspects of our therapy team include socializing with fellow patients, getting out of her room to participate in therapy activities, and practicing simulated home-based tasks that helped her work toward her personal goals for returning home.
Through her hard work and dedication, Nita successfully regained her prior level of function, improving her overall strength and balance so she could safely return home with her husband.
Reflecting on her rehab experience, Nita shared:
“It was better than I thought it would be, they made it fun! They were all very friendly, and I felt like they truly cared about my improvement and helping me return home safely.”

Congratulations, Nita! We are honored to have been part of your recovery journey and wish you continued health and happiness at home.
