I often get babies in the office who are struggling at the breast yet they are able to take a bottle. This often leaves parents CONFUSED.
When you learn how DIFFERENT the two processes are-it actually makes complete sense!

One of the most common things I hear from parents is some version of this: "She won't breastfeed, but she takes the bottle just fine. Does that mean she's rejecting me?"No. It does not. What it probably means is that breastfeeding and bottle feeding are mechanically quite different-and your baby figu...

The CranioSacral Rhythm (CSR)—a subtle physiological rhythm experienced by manual therapists for decades—continues to be explored through ongoing and emerging research. 🧠💫

In Massage & Bodywork Magazine, the article "The CranioSacral Rhythm; What Are We Learning About This Physiological Pattern?" explores current research and evolving perspectives on this clinically observed phenomenon.

This article brings clarity, scientific context, and respect to what skilled practitioners have long experienced through their hands—and it’s a valuable read for anyone engaged in gentle manual therapies. 💛📘

Proof that I willingly signed up to go back to school… again 😂🎓

I just completed my second myofunctional therapy training, and while it meant a few days of canceled sessions (never my favorite), it’s always worth it.

Investing in continuing education = investing in my clients.

Just adding a few more tools to the toolbox 💙💙

Now to start my QOM (qualified orofacial myologist) exam!

Often patients will come in thinking we're going to be working in the mouth-which of course we do!
BUUUUTT for kiddos that come into my office, one of the big goals is NASAL BREATHING.
Its not just about speech or feeding skills, its about quality of life, healing, and helping our body's immune system do what it does best!

Stuffy noses, cracked lips, restless sleep, and lingering congestion can feel unavoidable this time of year, especially for kids. But how you breathe during winter plays a bigger role in overall health than many people realize.

In our February blog, we break down why nasal breathing matters, how dry winter air affects the airway, and simple ways to support better breathing, sleep, and wellness for both children and adults.

If mouth breathing, snoring, or frequent illness sounds familiar, this is a great place to start. 👉 Read the full blog to learn practical, supportive strategies you can use right away: https://speakasp.com/the-benefits-of-nasal-breathing-staying-healthy-during-the-dry-winter-months/
