Proud Mama moment!

My oldest has been working hard to ask for help when she stars to get frustrated and practice the power of “not yet” as she learns new skills. I was so proud of her when she was trying to cut her favorite veggie and she started to struggle but asked for help.

But why is this cute as a child but considered shameful in some circles as an adult? You are learning a new skill! You will not be perfect at it immediately!

Here is your permission to try something new, look foolish, ask for help, and acknowledge that you aren’t very good…yet. That’s the learning process, baby.
