The brick:
Background info: When I was in Charleston South Carolina we were exploring the city and came across this restaurant. The restaurant was really nice and my hockey team found this little corner where we played some board games and darts. Review: I ordered the boneless fried chicken wings with a side of honey mustard and fries. I ordered the 1lb portion and it was huge. Everybody on my hockey team didn’t think I could finish it. I ended up finishing it but some of my food was stolen. The chicken was fantastic, coated in perfectly crisped and breaded chicken. The breading had a ton of flavor. The chicken had a ton of flavor and let off a slight shine when shown in the light. The chicken was a little bit dry and lacking some flavor. The honey mustard added some flavor, it made them sweet and added a little bit of flavor. There were some parts where the breading was see through and the honey mustard leaked through the breading making the chicken drip with honey mustard or have way too much of a lopsided flavor. The fries were decent, they were thin and slightly salted. They could’ve been much better but they were lacking flavor. Overall this was a pretty good meal! Chicken most similar to: Brewhouse South. Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen
Background Info: I ate here with my grandparents because we went snow tubing. During winter break there was no school so my grandparents took my sister and I snow tubing. Review: This place was just fantastic, the chicken tenders were perfectly cooked and had breading that was slightly crispy and packed with flavor. They were extremely juicy and the breading molded perfectly with the chicken. The chef in the back deserves my compliments because these chicken tenders were almost perfect. Some of the edges were rough messing up the texture and in those spots they were all breading no chicken. The breading had some spots that were crispy but the spots that weren’t crispy was fairly moist. The fries were tasty, crispy and had a seasoning that loaded them with flavor. If they put that seasoning on the tenders they would’ve been a ten for sure. Chicken most similar to: Xfinity Live. Place: York, PA. RATING: 9.5

The Yard House
Background Info: I ate at this restaurant because my sister had cheerleading practice on Friday Night. The gym is near the mall so we came here. We arrived just in time for happy hour. Everything on the happy hour menu is half off so my mom let me get a Chicken tender meal and a pizza from the happy hour menu. Review: When the chicken tenders came they looked really good. They were crispy and juicy. Despite them being really good they were a little bit over cooked. The breading was packed with flavor and it molded perfectly with the chicken. The chicken was tasty, it was juicy but had some untapped potential. This may have been because for happy hour they mass produce everything instead of taking as much time as they normally would. They were served with a side of ”Maple Dijon”. This sauce was a house made custom version of honey mustard and a maple flavor. The sauce was really good and added tons of flavor to the tenders. The fries were fantastic, a slight crisp and perfectly salted. Everything was great in this meal including the pizza despite the dough on some pieces being a little bit moist. If you are at this mall I would definitely suggest coming here because the chicken and pizza are fantastic. Chicken most similar to: Rumba Island Bar and Grill. Place: Arundel Mills Mall, MD. Olga’s Diner
Background info: I have eaten here many times but this time I decided to try something new. I got a chicken tender wrap. If your on Cherry Hill, NJ I would definitely suggest going here because the serving sizes are huge and it being a diner the menu is huge. Review: I love wraps and the tortilla on wraps. This tortilla was perfectly wrapped and tasted perfect with the chicken. The chicken was crunchy because it was breaded. Usually you don’t see fried chicken in a wrap, sometimes in a taco but not much in a wrap. There was honey mustard in the wrap and it tasted so good, it provided so much sweetness and lots of extra flavor. The fries were good too, they were crunchy b it don’t have that much flavor and have some untapped potential. Chicken most similar to: Tavern in the Square. Place: Cherry Hill, NJ. RATING: 9.5

Background info: After my hockey teams championship game in Tampa we went downtown to get some food before our flight back home. This place was really cool, they had tons of TV’s and an indoor”Top Golf”. They had lots of good options but I got the grilled chicken sandwich. Review: The grilled chicken sandwich came with a lot of stuff but I got it without most. There were multiple pieces of chicken on the sandwich to optimize the amount of meat but it also cause some messes. The chicken was decent, it had some flavor but not that much. When I took a bite out of it, the chicken didn’t release the shine to show how juicy it was like some of the top chicken sandwiches. There was cheese on it, the cheese provided some extra flavor and worked well with the other toppings. I got it with honey mustard but there was a very limited amount on the sandwich. It did provide some sweetness and worked terrifically with the cheese. I did order it without the aioli but there was some on it. I didn’t like it because it was a bit spicy and cancelled out the sweetness of the honey mustard. The fries were fantastic, crispy and perfectly salted. If I’m back here I probably won’t get the grilled chicken sandwich, the wings on my teammates plate looked good so that would definitely be a possibility. Background info: This was when I was in Tampa, after a late game we got some food. It was right near the hotel and at midnight not much was open. Overall everything was really good except that it took so long to come out. Review: the breading was crispy and packed with flavor. The chicken blended well with the crispy breading. The only problem with there chicken was that it was lacking a lot of flavor. The breading tried to make up for that lack of flavor but only covered for about 50% of the flavor. The honey mustard helped with a little bit of the flavor and sweetened everything. The fries were fantastic, soft and packed with flavor. Overall this meal could’ve been fantastic but was lacking some flavor. Chicken most similar to: Tavern in the Square. Place: Tampa, FL. Rating: 8.5

Metro Diner
Background info: I came here with my hockey team, the setup was great and had room for all of us. They served breakfast and lunch all day. That was good for me because I was in the mood for chicken even though it was 10:00 AM. Review: When the chicken sandwich came, it was humongous. I got mine with bacon on the side, and most of the other stuff off of it. The toppings already on it matched what I liked so that was perfect. There were 3 crispy, flavorful and juicy pieces of chicken on this sandwich. The breading had a great crisp but a little too much. There was a seasoning on the breading that gave off so much flavor. When I was finished my mouth was craving more. The chicken did let off a slight shine showing how juicy it was towards the middle but not entirely on the edge. The bread was soft so the chickens extra crispness made up for it. My sandwich came with American cheese and honey mustard which blended perfectly with the chicken and added lots of sweetness and a little extra flavor. The fries were also very good, crispy and flavorful but they weren’t the best. Overall this meal was fantastic and I would definitely suggest it if you’re in the area and also the chicken and waffles looked fantastic! Chicken most similar to: Mad Chef Craft Brewing. Background info: While I was sitting in the airport waiting for the plane to take me to Tampa we decided to get some breakfast. The nearest place was Chick Fil A. Review: Thsi was my first time having Chick Fil A breakfast and it was really good. What I got was like a chicken sandwich but instead of a bun it was a biscuit. The biscuit was filled with flavor and tasted so good. The chicken was almost exactly the same as the lunch time menu. The breading was very thin and soft. The chicken was pretty good, lots of flavor and even paired fantastically with the biscuit. This meal was so good from the chicken biscuit sandwich to the hash browns, I would really suggest this breakfast. They also had mini(slider) chicken biscuits. Chicken most similar to: Shake Shack. Background info: I came here with my hockey team when we were in Virginia Beach. This restaurant was very nice and fit our very large group. And yes I’m aware that the picture is blurry. Review: The Chicken and Waffles came with honey on them. I ordered without them. I also ordered a side of French fries with honey mustard. I have a broken arm so I couldn’t cut the waffle or the chicken so I ate the chicken like a chicken finger. The chicken was crispy and had a lot of flavor. the chicken let off a slight shine when in the light showing how juicy they were. They had some flavor but I believed they had some untapped potential. You could tell that they were handmade and not frozen. The honey mustard per usual added sweetness and some extra flavor. The waffle was soft and flavorful. The fries were perfectly crisped with lots of flavor. Overall this meal was amazing but I wish the chicken was better. Chicken most similar to: Dennys. Place: Virginia Beach, VA. RATING: 8.5

Olive Garden
Background info: This place is a nice restaurant but with nothing that o eat on the regular menu. Because of that I had to get 2 kids chicken fingers. Review: The chicken fingers were pretty good, they had a nice breading but weren’t that juicy. The breading was very tasty and had a little crispy. It had black specs which I assumed were seasoning and made the chicken a little bit tastier. The ratio was a little bit off as some parts were lightly breaded while others were heavily breaded and very crispy. Around the edges there was a little bit of extra crisp Nanking it harder to get that first bite. The chicken wasn’t as juicy as others but was very tasty. The fries were also very good, a little bit moist and soft but had a good amount of flavor. Chicken most similar to: Anchor Bar. Place: chain had in Columbia, MD. RATING: 6

Chick Fil A
Background info: I was driving down to Virginia Beach for hockey. On our way down we stopped at Chick fil a. I was hungry so I got a sandwich and nuggets. Review: The sandwich was fantastic, the breading and the roll mixed together to create a fantastic duo. The breading on the chicken(nuggets and sandwich) was soft and loaded with flavor. I got Polynesian sauce for the nuggets and when I dipped the nuggets in my mouth was partying with the taste. The sauce added some sweetness and a little bit of extra flavor. The only problem with the meal is that it’s just sitting there until someone orders do it gets a little bit moist. The waffle fries at chick fil a are out of this world. They are perfectly cooked with just the right amount of crisp and tons of flavor. Chicken most similar to: Shake Shack. Place: Chain, had in Virginia. Rating: 8.5
