When people hear the word grief, they often are only considering death, but grief can be experienced with all kinds of losses.

Non-death losses may include major life changes like moving, divorce or separation, a deployment or deportation, or even a job change. Medical experiences and trauma can also cause grief - being diagnosed with a chronic illness, living with a medically complex sibling, hospitalizations, or even needing to have special accommodations at school or work due to a health condition.

Hello, friends!

My name is Bailey, and I am the founder of The Healing Village for Grief and Growth, a private practice offering children's grief and crisis support services in the central Illinois area and beyond!

Many years ago, I discovered a personal passion for supporting children and their families through their grief journeys. I quickly discovered that while this work is incredibly important and impactful, there aren't many options for families in rural central Illinois for support services specifically focused on children's grief. I'm so honored to help fill this gap through my education and experience.
