During these very difficult times, when fear, stress, rage, and grief are so present, having a place to come together and tend to our nervous systems is invaluable. Truly โ it canโt be overstated.
This is what carried Thich Nhat Hanh and so many others through the Vietnam war, shaping them into clearer, steadier, more compassionate human beings.
When we learn to channel these intense emotions into compassion and stability, rather than fear and reactivity, everyone around us feels the impact. And the work we do in the world has a much greater chance of actually helping โ because the value of our actions depends so much on the quality and presence of our minds.
