Did you know the early signs of Parkinson's often look like "just getting older"? 🧠

A tremor at rest, slower movements, shorter steps, or changes in balance can all be worth mentioning to a doctor πŸ‘€

The good news: staying active helps protect strength, balance, and independence πŸ’ͺ AVA at Home makes daily balance practice simple on an iPad. Try it free for 7 days πŸ“²

his test takes 12 seconds and it's one of the simplest ways to check in on a parent's mobility πŸ‘€

Stand up, walk 10 ft, turn, walk back, sit. That's it. If it takes 12 seconds or more, it's worth bringing up at their next doctor visit 🩺

AVA at Home walks you both through it step by step on an iPad, right in the living room 🏑

Three more balance moves, no gym, no equipment, all done in the rooms you're already in:

πŸͺ‘ Mini squat. Arms out, halfway down, back up. Chair can be behind you, just in case.
🦢 March in place. Knees up, slow. This is the one that makes stepping over the rug feel easy again.
πŸͺ₯ Stand on one leg while you brush your teeth. Two minutes, twice a day, and you'll never forget to do it.

Save this, and go find Part 1 if you missed it. πŸ“Œ

September is Grandparents Month. A whole month for the people who gave us a whole childhood 🧑

The hands that braided your hair. That knew exactly how much sugar went in the tea. That held yours crossing the street, long after you were old enough to cross alone.

They didn't feel old to you then. They just felt like home.

And somewhere along the way, the roles quietly started to shift. Now you're the one checking in. Watching how they get up from the chair. Noticing the little things.

That's not a burden. That's love, coming full circle πŸ‚

So this month, we want to hear from you:

What's your favorite memory with your grandparents? πŸ‘‡

I'll go first. Mine is my grandma braiding my hair. I still can't do it as neatly as she didπŸ₯Ή

Your turn 🧑
