Priscilla Muñoz joined us as a Care Manager and never stopped growing. Today, she serves as Assistant Program Director in New Jersey, leading operations, compliance, and the people who make it all work.

"Leadership starts with consistency. When you're organized, reliable, and solution-focused, people trust you. And in this field, trust is everything."

When asked what advice she'd give someone just starting out, Priscilla said: "Build strong relationships because everything we do is collaborative."

Abound Health recently attended the IDD Legislative Caucus and Advocacy Day in North Carolina, and it has stayed with us.

There is something powerful about being in a room where people show up to be heard. Individuals, families, caregivers, and advocates all sharing real stories, real challenges, and real impact. Not because it is easy, but because it matters.

We were especially proud to see Abound Health client Michael Wayne O'Neill speak on behalf of the North Carolina community. Moments like that are a reminder of why this work is so important.

Advocacy is not just something we talk about. It is something we show up for. And this community continues to show up in a big way.

We are so incredibly proud of our very own Tameka Coles as she was recognized as one of ANCOR American Network of Community Options and Resources DSPs of the Year! 🎉 This honor is awarded to just 57 DSPs nationwide from thousands of nominations. She recently traveled to Boston for ANCOR’s DSP of the Year Awards ceremony, where she accepted this recognition alongside fellow honorees from across the country.

Tameka was selected for her unique dual role as both a DSP Advocate and an Alternative Family Living (AFL) provider. For the past 11 years, client Jenny has lived with Tameka through the AFL program, and the two recently celebrated Jenny’s work anniversary together.

This recognition places Tameka among the very best in the field and shines a light on the essential role DSPs play in supporting individuals to live full, meaningful lives. We are grateful to celebrate her achievement and the example she sets across our organization.
